She grinned at him. "You're right, best remedy. I don't want revenge though, I mean... I did break up with him," she shrugged. "For being a stupid head jerk face," she mumbled under her breath. "Let's get super cute some day and just stomp around campus like we own the place," she smiled across the table at her friend.
She had to think about it. "No, I never have!" she said. "I used to love going to them though, even without a date. It's fun to just dance and bop around," she sighed. She didn't really care what other people thought of her goofy dancing, as long as she was having a good time, that's all that mattered. "What do you do on dance nights anyways? Well, other than come hang out and have delicious food," she grinned.

"You know what I mean," he said, pointing at her. "You've got to show that you won't let this bring you down. 'Cause remember: You are beautiful no matter what they say, words can't bring you down, you are beautiful in every single way, words can't bring you down, so don't let them bring you down today." He kept a straight face and went right into responding to her again. "Honey, we already do own the place, but we can definitely let them know it again."
He gave a slight smile. "There are other places to get your dance on than at a boring school dance where you're constantly being supervised, and that's where I usually go. You're just lucky that tonight I felt more like vegging out," he finished with a smirk.

"I wouldn't have guessed that," she said, pulling a stool over to sit. "Dragons sound pretty cool though," she nodded. "Dangerous though," she added her eyes getting bigger. "I bet you could talk to professor Baer and see about getting an apprenticeship or something when you graduate," she took a sip of tea.
She smiled, feeling a little silly. "That's probably a good idea," she laughed in spite of herself. "I forget other people are more adjusted to heat than I am. My boyfr..." she stopped herself and swallowed hard. Fuck. "My ex practically lives in the desert," she said softly. "Sucks for him," she tried to shrug nonchalantly but just didn't have it in her to act like everything was fine and dandy.
