Gray was having an alright night, unlike a certain ginger who happened to be wearing the same color as him. Of course, more people would expect a girl to wear baby pink than a guy. But he thought he looked fucking slick, and of course that was all that really mattered. He'd just come back from trying to chat up one of the Sonnier cheerleaders who was on her way back to her dorm. She giggled and touched his arm and did all the sort of normal girl things... and then kissed him goodnight. At the door. He'd totally get some next time, he smirked to himself, unlit cigarette already dangling between his lips. It was only when he got to the only really concealed smoking spot outside of the woods that he spotted Tatum. He raised his eyebrows in an awkward greeting, mumbling 'hi' as best as he could with a cigarette in his mouth. Of course, it came out more like a surprised " Aye."

"Oh... kay?" Gray eyed her a little, his eyebrows still raised. Tatum was Frankie's girlfriend, or so he thought, and you were nice to your friend's girlfriends, right?
If this were Rowan or Sunny... He would talk to her, right? Try to make nice, or whatever.
"Something happen?" He asked idly, breathing out a cloud of smoke. Was this like, a girl thing? Like... PMS, or having just seen The Notebook or something like that.

He quickly confirmed her earlier suspicions that he was clueless, and she immediately felt a little bit better. "You didn't hear?" she asked quietly, glancing at him and taking a small drag. She had been hoping Amber had been exaggerating with the everybody heard it routine, and maybe she had been.
"I got in a fight," she admitted. "Sort of," she quickly added, scuffing her feet on the ground slightly as she spoke, watching them instead of him. She didn't know why he was even bothering to ask. "It's over now, I'm fine."
Except, of course, that she wasn't. It was hard keeping it together, but at least with her head down, he wouldn't notice her eyes watering as she spoke. If he had to feign sympathy for her, it would just be awkward for both of them.
