"Oh don't be such a sour puss!" She reached out and grabbed Frankie's hand (her clutch under arm), before tossing the cup and it's contents off in a thrash can. Pulling the other girl with her, she grinned brightly.
"Dance with me!" She didn't care if the girl didn't want to. Right now all she needed for for people to see Frankie, and what appeared to be her and Ginger having a good time.
Frankie stared down at the contact and grimaced slightly, didn't Ginger know anything about personal boundries? She didn't really have much choice as she was yanked along the dance floor, right to the middle.
"Why would I dance to this" Frankie asked, swaying half heartedly and waiting for the E to kick in. Fuck, drugs at a school dance.
"Because, silly, it is fun to let your hair down sometimes, and just have...you know, fun." She lifted their hands in the air and swayed to the music, closing her eyes for a moment. "Come on Frankie, let yourself have some fun!"
"I don't have fun" Frankie said without any hint of a joke. She was a serious person, damnit and dancing with cheerleaders was not at the top of her priorities. But she was swaying her hips more freely now, other people here dancing looked happy and weren't picking fights with their girlfriends for no reason, perhaps she could learn a thing or two from them.
"Don't be silly, of course you have fun!" Ginger laughed, twirling around and under Frankie's arm as she kept dancing with the music merrily. "I mean, there has to be something you find fun, right? You're too smart to be like, all boring and stuff. And you are like dancing right now, so like that has to be fun."
Frankie wasn't sure dancing was fun. Yes, she did dance but usually not at social functions and more in her room with her cat and in her underwear.
She tried to smile at Ginger and it was surprisingly easy, must be the pill kicking in. She hadn't eaten today (actually when was the last time she had eaten?) so the effects started faster.
"Yeah! Like totally fun!" Ginger giggled, dancing a little closer to Frankie as she let her hair bounce around as she moved. "You're really good at this, ya'know?! Like, you could totally rock out and stuff!"
She smiled brightly, letting her hips roll forward and then back in a fluid motion.
Ginger was pretty sure that Frankie could hate her, but still had to admit she was pretty. Cos, hello? She was way prettier than most of the losers at this school. She danced on, though, bouncing and popping like it wasn't anything big to there with Frankie.
"Ballet?! OMG, I totes always wanted to take ballet, but like my mom, ug...she was like 'oh you aren't the right body type.'" She rolled her eyes. It was a dumb excuse, even Ginger knew that.
Frankie searched the other girl's eyes, thinking it was weird that her pupils weren't dilating. Couldn't she feel it? Maybe she was unlucky and got a bad E.
" You've never noticed me before" she shot back, smiling wryly.
"But," Ginger said slowly and purposefully, "I noticed you now."
Leaning in she pressed her lips to Frankie's, lips parting a little as her tongue snaked out. Dancing even closer to Frankie, she all but made it a highlighted show.
At first Frankie didn't do anything, she was buzzed and a pretty girl was kissing her and what could be wrong about that? Except the girl didn't have red hair and she wasn't wearing a pink dress. It took a soft flick of Frankie's tongue against Ginger's before she realised what was happening and she stumbled back.
