"Good," he said with a nod. "I've been really good." It wasn't entirely true, but it was partly true. Most things were okay and he was starting to learn to cope. The goal was to have a good time with his friends tonight though, so he smiled at Colby and held the door open for her.
"So... dancing, carousing, or snacking m'lady?" he asked with a big grin.
Colby frowned a little. There was no exuberance in that, but she wasn't going to push the matter. This was a night about having some fun, and she wasn't going to drag either of them down. And so she beamed at him when he held the door for her, curtsying a little awkwardly and scurrying into the dance.
"Hm, I say... carousing for the moment, my dear sir!" She grinned back widely.
"Sounds delightful!" he grinned, starting to loop around the room. He dodged a burst of glitter and laughed when it hit him anyways. "Silly things," he said shaking his head.
"So, you going to the twins tea party tomorrow?" he asked grinning.
Colby yelped as the glitter exploded at them, ducking behind Sam to try and avoid it, however glitter is impossible to entirely hide from. She laughed and shook her head, watching glitter fall from it. "We look like we could be extras in the next Twilight movie now," she said with her face scrunched, though she laughed about it.
Sam couldn't help but laugh. "Don't you know it!" he grinned. "We'd probably do a better job than R Patz and K Stew," he joked. He had no idea how he knew that reference, upon that realization he laughed again.
"Oh totally! I'm stoked. I have never been to a tea party," he grinned. "I got Jenny a really nice journal and I got El a ton of bright cute jewelry," he said. "What about you?"
Colby couldn't help laughing either. She rolled her eyes with a grin. "We'd definitely do a better job, and look better doing it, too!" She twirled a little to watch more glitter fly.
"Neither have I! I'm glad I'm not alone in having it be a first time," she beamed. "Ooh! Good presents! I got Ella some cute little jewelery too, and some adorable little cupcake people, and for Jenny I got a pair of headphones and a Madonna shirt. Oh! And I got them both a bunch of silly bandz."
Sam was having a great time already, he was pretty glad that he ended up coming even if he had been dreading a Valentines dance. "Damn straight!" he grinned.
"Oh man, they're going to be so pleased at their party," he grinned. "I wonder if they need people to bring food and stuff," he wondered aloud. "Probably not with all us Beauregards going, we are the house of cooks and bakers," he laughed.
