Who: Janis OPEN Where/When: Outside the cafeteria, sometime during the day. Rating: SFW probs Summary: Janis decides it's time to face the world again! Grrrrr. Somehow, some way Janis parents had discovered her recent habit over the last month of sleeping with her furniture in front of the door while sitting up in her bed. Of rarely leaving her rooms and having to be controlled to go to classes. Perhaps one of the adults told on her, perhaps her roommate was a dirty snitch and would never be trusted again. Perhaps... no. Janis was pretty sure it was her roommate. After all, she had the biggest smile on her face when the less-than-polite letter hit their room. She was to leave the room immediately and grow up, get out of there and to not move her dresser again, under penalty of phone removal.
So here she was gosh-dammit, sitting outside of her room in the middle of the winter in a public area. Never mind she was jumping at every sound and had an extra shirt on just in case of protection needed.
The weather was cold for New Orleans, but definitely not for a New Yorker living in New Orleans. Sunny had to drag Brutus outside for at least an hour every day for his own good. Sunny had been listening to hair metal while reading her vegan cookbook, kicking her shoes to the beat of the song. "Here I go again on my own! Going down the only road I've ever known!" she sang along.
It had not been long before Brutus made his protest by stamping across her open cook book, sitting down on the page, and mewing in her face. "Rude Brutus," she laughed at him despite. "Fine, fine," she pushed herself up from the ground and made her way back toward Beauregard when she noticed her usually bouncy friend looking quite disgruntled.
"Hey Janis! You alright?" she asked popping her head phones out. Brutus patted right up to the blonde and head butted her legs affectionately.
"Oh yeah! Yeah." Janis replied, her yeahs two very different words. She didn't jump when she first heard Sunny. Nope. For the most part, she still wore her uniform so when she started to play with what she wore, it was whatever jewelry her fingers could reach without too much effort. That cat would be petted as well of course, but it was an afterthought when it occurred.
"I'm out here! And Uhm. I'm... here?" From the looks of things, it could have appeared as if Janis had been trying to distract herself from both her location and her homework. Coloring books where sitting to the left along with a well-used box of crayons. So far her plan was going... not so good.
"That's because I've been hiding!" Janis giggled briefly, "But now I can't because of my poopy head roomie." And with the last bit, the giggle becomes an exaggerated pout.
"So far I've managed to... do nothing! How about you?"
"Awww," Sunny gave Janis a little frown. "Well being out isn't so bad anymore," she said brightly. "The weather has been pretty nice lately and you don't want to miss all the fun!"
"I pick out what treat I'm making for Stasi on valentines day!" she said brightly. "Vegan ice cream sammiches!"
"Everyone says so NOW! But I'm just waiting. They'll be dinosaurs or something next. I'm sure of it." Though her voice sounded as if it was pouting, Janis was returning Sunny's smile one-hundred percent.
She bounced a bit a her friend's idea of a gift and giggled, "Is that even possible!?!?"
"Dinosaurs! That would be amazing! Like what if we could teach them stuff and give them little leashes! They could give us rides to class and stuff!" she giggled.
"Yeah! I will make a double batch," she bounced a little. "And drop some off before my date," she grinned. "It's all about the coconut milk," she beamed.
She laughed even more at her friend's concerns. "Well I guess we will have to teach them not to eat people and they can eat all the monsters and stuff," she said. Not that she was entirely sure how that would work, just an idea.
"The ice cream part! It gives it this awesome texture and a little bit of flavor! It's fantastic! The sammich part is just about replacing the milk with soymilk and the eggs with bananas," she explained.
