It was looking as if Lisette wasn't going to get her alone time in the woods. All she really wanted to do was study her book on parseltongue and enjoy a patch of sunshine before it faded for the evening.
But as she approached the woods, she saw a figure bunched up against the trunk of a tree. He was bent over some papers and ... probably weed when she walked up. It had been a really long time since she'd smoked anything but a cigarette. Shoving her book deep into her shoulderbag she paused near Shelby and waited for him to notice her presence.
If he didn't notice her, he would probably notice the black cat that was curling around her feet and darting his golden eyes toward the stranger.
