Charlie said nothing but fished in his pocket and chucked ten bucks on the table. This place was cheap, it added to his fondness for it. He scooted out of the booth, unlit cigarette dangling from his mouth. He must have left his lighter in the car. Finding a couple of ones in his pocket and tipped the waitress with a crooked smile which she returned.
"I've forgotten it" he said finally, holding the door open for Jenny once again.
