Who: Professor Carson, Hunter and Lis What: In search of the creatures Where: The forest/swamp surrounding the campus. Rating: Safe For Work "Ladies? If you would follow me this way, I think this section deserves some careful scrutiny." Lit wand aloft, Professor Jacob Carson moved toward a section of underbrush and fallen trees. There wasn't much in the way of overhanging trees in this area, and the moonlight was actually hitting the ground in broad patches, lighting their way fairly well. Carson, dressed in a dark coat and slacks and looking decidedly out of place without his usual everyday robe. He started walking to the clearing, looking around to his left and right, pointing with his wand in each direction. Tags: !incomplete, jessica sommer, npc

Unlike her ever careful staff escort, Hunter was just plain excited for this. Hunting down monsters was like.. some pretty bad-ass shit, at least in her opinion. She would have maybe rather gotten pair up with Michi or something, but this wasn't so bad. She was mostly focused on herself anyway, rather than the goings on of their little tripod assembly. Lurking just a few steps behind Professor Carson, her own wand raised up, the blonde was keeping her eyes peeled for any kind of movement or weird signs. She really didn't want anything to happen that gave her a face like Leon. Before or after his run in with these creatures. "Looks pretty chill in here," she commented idly, to no one in particular, pausing a moment to inspect a nearby tree. She thought she saw something up there, but it looked pretty empty now. She just hoped this whole thing didn't turn out to be a bust. She could be doing other more exciting things.. but who was she to pass up the chance to catch one of these things and become the school hero. Now that would be boss.

Hunter, never one to hold back her thoughts, piped up immediately. "No way! There ain't nothing to see here," she protested, giving her lit wand a quick flick around their surroundings. It was seemingly quiet, and she didn't look forward to being stuck in this little area for long. She wanted to find the monsters. Hell, Gray probably already found something by now, and she wasn't about to be beaten by her own boyfriend.
"I want to come with you. If you go scouting, we should get to come. It's pointless to stay here, this area is clear," she added, glancing at Lis for support briefly, before turning back to Carson. Her arms had crossed over her chest. "Come on, we can handle ourselves. That's why we got to volunteer, right? We wanna.. help or whatever."
She knew she was bordering on, and possibly overstepping, her lines. But she was never the type to back down and do as she was told without questioning it. Especially if it was a hero's work as she had deemed tonight to be.

Lisette was the type to resent authority, but she never questioned it. Hunter seemed to be doing enough for the both of them, though. When she glanced over for support, Lisette nodded and said, "Yeah", very quietly. She didn't want to "remain here" when there was very clearly nothing to be seen, but if the teacher ordered it, she'd do it. What choice did she have?
She bit her lip and shoved a hand into her purse. She felt around for the loose bits of string, and finding one, began to wind it around her fingers. She thought the denser patches of forest would be better... more coverage for the creatures, but the look on the professor's face earlier told her that although she was probably right, he didn't want to lead the girls into danger.
