Summary: Casey heads outside and Gael has an interesting case of mistaken identity to deal with.


Casey Rycroft should have been notorious by now for wandering the paths of the commons without paying attention to things going on around him. He often walked with a book, or was engrossed in a DS game, or simply was letting his mind wander over new ideas as he walked around on auto pilot. This time was no different.

Only that night he was reading the latest review of Dead Space 2 on his phone.

He had decided that the next time he had a little bit of spare money he was going to pick the game up, just before he looked up to realize he was about to walk into someone. Casey managed to stumble to the side to avoid hitting the kid, and didn't really have time to wonder whether he'd managed to aim himself for someone just standing there or if he'd caught up to them walking.

All Casey thought of as he looked up into a familiar face was one single word: Shit.
