"Is that what you call it?" He passed her the barest smirk and lowered his back as if she could mount him. "I will be your steed," he offered. His motivations, while questionable, were mostly chivalrous.
"If you tell anyone what you have discovered I will drop you on the pavement and make you walk home alone," he threatened, somewhere between joking and serious. He wrapped his hands up and under her thighs to support her on the walk and carried on as if this were perfectly normal and he wasn't nearly as drunk as he actually was. It was a pleasant evening, a little hot, but he was used to that.
"If I had brought my wand I would have charmed up some wind to cool us off." He'd gotten into the habit of leaving his wand behind. He was taking wandless II this semester and hoping he could ditch the wand altogether. He was already pretty good at the wandless I spells they'd learned last year. Cooling breezes wasn't one of those spells unfortunately.
She continued to giggle, Sunny couldn't help but giggle after a night of drinking. "Your secret is safe with me Anastas," she let her head droop against his.
"Ooo!" Sunny reached in her back pocket to retrieve her wand. "It'll be like a mini fan," she managed a pretty decent cooling charm that covered both of them, not bad at all for being half in the bag, she thought to herself.
He bumped his head back gently against hers, just enough to let her know he appreciated it. The little cooling charm she had conjured was a miracle. "Not too bad," he commented with a big grin that he was thankful she couldn't see.
He stumbled a little bit on a rocky part of the path back to school and took two steps toward a tree. He tightened his grip on her legs and came to a stand still. "Hang on." He gathered himself and started walking again, but his grip didn't ease up. He liked the feeling of her legs under his hands and he even went so far as to squeeze them ever so slightly.
Sunny tightened her grip around Stasi's shoulders when he told her to hang on. She didn't loosen her grip when he gained his footing though. She told herself it was because she was afraid he would stumble again but really she just liked holding him. She didn't even particularly mind when he gave her legs a little squeeze.
"In any other context you wouldn't be able to get away with that," she tease gently giving his cheek a little kiss.
"In any other context I would not try," he replied wisely. He kept his grip strong, but he didn't squeeze her again for fear of crossing the very fine line she had drawn. They arrived back at her dorm before he properly knew it. He was going to leave her at the door so he didn't get caught after hours upstairs at her bedroom door.
He bent his knees a bit so she wouldn't have to struggle to get down. He turned to face her, bowed, took her hand in his and brought it to his lips. "My lady, your castle."
"You're good," she said sleepily and slightly drunkenly, but she meant it. There was good in there, he just would never admit to it. She chatted him up the entire way home even though it was a short trip.
She hopped down from Stasi's back and giggled when he kissed her hand. "Thank you noble steed," she gave him a big hug. "Call me when you're ready to have Brut and I over?" she asked.
He hugged her back, his hands resting low on her back and his lips very near her ear. "It will be late in the day," he whispered knowingly. He pulled back just enough to kiss her on the lips. Then he stepped back and bowed again. "It was a wonderful evening."
"I figured," she whispered back. It would give her time to have her morning work out and shower before going over. It was a nice way to end the night, she kissed him back wondering if maybe they could be like this more often.
"Thank you for the lovely night Stasi," she turned to go into House Beauregard and gave him one last smile over her shoulder before shutting the door behind herself and making her way to her room.
