"Janis?" Molly was pretty sure she recognized the spindly legs and fluff of blond hair that peeked out of the benches. She had her backpack slung over one shoulder and the appearance of only half a person had stopped her in her tracks.
She crouched down to peer at the girl and try to figure out what she was doing. She could barely hear the hushed whisper and the squeak of her broken voice. "Hey. Did you lose something? Can I help?"
