"Yeah, well. No. Something like that. Just. Yeah." Ben kicked some rocks around under his sneakers, feeling stuck. Not that he minded being stuck with Meka. Just. Dead animals. Bag. Dead animals in his bag.

"I mean, unless there was something..." He paused mid-sentence deciding it was stupid. A breath, and he tried again. "Was there something else?"

Dammit. That sounded stupid, too.

She looked at her shoes feeling stupid. "Oh... um... well... not really," she shrugged. "Just wanted to hang out I guess. No big, we can always uh hang out later?"

"It's not a big thing," she took another drag on her cigarette to shut herself up.
