Gray jumped slightly as she poked him, sighed, swallowed audibly, and nodded a few times to Michiko without saying much of anything. He fidgeted, flicking ash off his cigarette with his opposite hand, instead of ashing it properly.

"Okay," he finally said, balking on an apology.

"Gregoire Aristide Leclaire," she said his full name sharply, grabbing his ear to give it a good tug. "Cut the shit."

"I'm sorry for what happened and I'm sorry that things have been weird."

"Tabarnak!" Gray winced, pulling away from Michiko's surprisingly vice-like grip. He cradled his ear, pouting at her as she apologized to him.

"Me too," He shrugged, looking down at the ground. "I mean. I--" His voice cracked. "...I'm sorry." He finally mumbled. That was harder than it should have been.

Michi smiled and leaned her head against Grey's shoulder for just a few moments. "Now was that so hard?" she teased.

She finished off her cigarette and stood. "Come on dork, let's go have fun," she offered her hand to help him up.
