Characters: Everyone! Setting: Saturday, October 2nd Rating: We know our players. I would consider this NSFW for safety. Summary: It's the Homecoming Dance! It was finally the night of of the Homecoming Dance; the second big night of the week that the students of Crescent City had been waiting for. The big game against the Badlands school had been a great success for House Beauregard, and the banner strung over the stage of the hall congratulated the team on their victory. It was the same stage that held a small band providing the music for the evening entertainment, and would be the site of the court results later on. The hall itself was decorated in the masquerade theme of the evening, accented with hints of gold and green in honor of Beauregard. There was plenty of seating available around the dance floor for students to relax and mingle, as well as plenty of food and refreshment. All in all it was to be a rather splendid evening at the Homecoming Midnight Masquerade. [OOC: Please add your character's tag to the scene as they enter! Please keep in mind that there are faculty members about, so all questionable acts should be taken outside of the dance hall. Those caught drinking alcohol, fighting, or getting freaky will be punished! ]Tags: !event, apple evans, aune walkky, benjamin redd, casey rycroft, charles oliver, ella parry, emilie devlin, erica redd, francios prideaux, gael shaw, gregoire leclair, janis parke, jennifer parry, jessica sommer, keegan howe, leon shaw, marianne parker, meka palakiko, michiko passos, quinn van rensselaer, rowan cabot, seraphim donnelly-rosseau, shelby ginnish, simon burford, sol garcia, tatum donnelly, vincenzo ciccarelli

Jenny/Ella
|
If she hadn't been nominated, Jenny hadn't even planned on going to the dance. She had been a more than willing participant in every other spirit week event, from theme days to the choir performance, but the homecoming dance had just seemed like a bad idea to her. She was excited for the homecoming game, and the result thrilled her to no end, and cheering during it had been a once in a lifetime experience, but the dance.. Well, it was just lucky that she had her sister to convince her to go. Between Ella and the nomination, Jenny found herself all dressed-up and looking for a place to go. Even if she was going stag, that would be okay. She was mostly glad to be there with Ella, to be arriving with her. It meant they could spend some time together before her sister and herself got swept away by any other friends. As they entered the hall, Jenny was pleasantly surprised to see that they weren't the only people to begin arriving a bit early. There were plenty of other people around, and it made Jenny feel like less of a spectacle. With all of the drama going on for her lately, it was nice not to feel like the center of a problem for a night. She was holding gently onto her sister's arm, turning her head a bit to smile at the other blonde. "Wanna go get something to drink? Or should we stake out a table? Vinnie and them will probably want us to hold a table if we're all gunna hang out or something." It hadn't been a plan, but Vinnie and Ella had been spending a lot of time together again, and Jenny couldn't help but assume, nudging her sister a bit. "Right?"

Dances were not his thing. In fact, Leon had done everything in his power to avoid dancing right up to this point. Even now he wasn't doing anything close to dancing, but rather just standing somewhere between dance floor and snack table. Snacks were good, too. Well, mostly.
He'd also been avoiding his date, otherwise known as Queen of My-fist-in-your-face currently. She'd looked irate enough to kill him with glares alone by the time the Headmistress had put the crown on the girl, and after that dance? Heh, well no way in hell did Leon intend to get caught in that fiery hell.
Of course, like all good things, his avoiding Adelaide had to end eventually. A pity it came at about the same time his little high had started to wear off, and his suddenly realization that he'd left his mint box on his desk table.
Damn. He thought, patting his pants down again as if he thought the box would just magically appear. Of all the things...
Of course would have been sorely disappointed with it anyway as the affects of his last Vicodin pill wore off. All he had left were no-doz, and caffeine really only kept him awake at this point. But is was his busy, futile search for his precious mint box that kept him from noticing the breathing dragon that was finally catching up to him.

Bobby/AB
|
Bobby knew he'd pissed off Sam by asking AB to the dance. Sam would never say it, but Bobby could tell. It was easily apparent in the way Sam tensed up, and said 'fine, I was going to show later anyway'. He was pretty sure that was bro code for YOU STOLE MY GIRL. And it had all been a terrible accident anyway.
They'd mingled a bit at the start of the evening, almost as if they hadn't even turned up together. AB won Homecoming Princess, and Bobby had cheered loudly for her... and then silently prayed to every deity he didn't even believe in that Adelaide wouldn't try and king-hit her off the stage.
In fact, apart from Sam not being there, the night was going quite well. Until a dark cloud of worry suddenly fell across Bobby's shoulders. He practically sprinted across the hall, and yanked AB onto the dancefloor. "She's here," he squeaked. "I can feel it."

Thankfully Gaël had managed to evade his brother and the 'princess' after the winners were announced. He'd dressed comfortably and simply , albeit similarly to Leon. It was unavoidable, really, being twins and all. Twin boys, anyway, since neither of them cared very much for fashion. Since the last time he'd seen his brother had been by the snack table, Gaël had claimed an area across the room and off to the side, as out of view as he could get. He leaned against the wall, sipping the punch he'd gotten before finding his hiding spot and people watched for a bit, deciding what he should do next: go find a friend to talk to, or go ask someone to dance.

As many undoubtedly knew, Will happened to enjoy a good party. He enjoyed them a lot, in fact. School dances, however, had never been particularly high on his list of favorite activities. There was the stress of picking out something to wear and deciding which girl to ask. Thankfully, this time around the choice had been relatively simple, though he wasn't exactly the biggest fan of his attire or mask. It would do, though, because really he only intended to pop in and have a couple of dances and mingle. As for the date? He couldn't quite decide who to ask and then it was pretty much too late. Going stag would have to do. It took him longer to get over to the dance than he'd hoped, and he missed the Homecoming court announcements... by a lot. It was worth it, however, as Will was pleasantly buzzed by his arrival. He wandered over by the snacks, grabbed himself a glass of punch and something to munch on and gave a quick look around. "Yep. Just another school dance. How boring," he said, mostly to himself, but loud enough than anyone near him could hear.

Erica hadn't even been planning on going to homecoming until she was asked; she wouldn't ask anyone on her own, call her traditional. She intended to wait until a boy picked her first. Of course, it would need to be a boy she wanted, otherwise it was all for nigh. Pickings had been getting slimmer and slimmer with each passing day until Shelby finally asked her. He hadn't been her first choice, but he was nice, and he was funny. When he had picked her up, she was dressed for the evening, feeling over-dressed in comparison to him. She had a feeling though that most people felt over-dressed beside Shelby even on regular days. They had been at the dance for a while now, and Erica had found herself wandering, at least mentally. She had spent most of her time staring at passing people, and she was pretty sure her date had just spent the night staring. "How high are you on a scale of one to ten?" she finally asked, cocking an eyebrow at him, not totally unamused.

Jenny/Charlie
|
The more time that Jenny spent at the dance, the more she began to loosen up. Finding out that she didn't win queen or princess just made her feel better; she was in no mood to parade up on stage, or have any fancy dances with anybody. It was like a weight off of her shoulders to watch the other winning nominees walking up, to knowing she wasn't on that list. It made her clap even harder for the boys and girls who were.
Once she had watched all of the ceremonial dances between kings, queens, princesses, princes, and all of the rest, the blonde found herself wandering. She had lost track of Ella somewhere along the way, as she often did at parties, but she was keeping an eye out. She'd find her eventually.
She was, in fact, keeping such a keen eye out for her sister, that she wasn't even paying attention to where exactly she was going. With a dull thud, she bumped right into someone, feeling whatever they were drinking splashing all over the front of her, and immediately feeling her mood darken.
Nothing a charm couldn't fix, but still irritating.
Lifting her head to see whom she had ran into, and whom she needed to apologize to, she was rather shocked to see Charlie standing there. She knew he was nominated, but.. she didn't think he'd actually be there.
"You came? Seriously?"
