Mack/Tatum

Mackenzie was disappointed when Tatum pulled away, but she honored Tatum's request and started to back off. She was stopped though when the girl leaned in and kissed her softly again. It was slow and sweet, something that Mack usually didn't put up with. This time she lingered however, just enjoying the small kiss.

It was strange, and in the few seconds that they lingered after the kiss Mackenzie felt something she had never felt before. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but she wonder briefly if maybe this was what it felt like to actually like someone. Maybe even like them a little bit more than she should.

Just as quickly as it happened it was over though, the redhead was pulling away again. This time her demand sounded serious, and Mackenzie didn't try to lean in for any more. Instead she scooted a way and leaned back on the couch, her heart pounding. That had been one of most intense kisses she had to date, and it hadn't even been that steamy.

"Sorry," She muttered, not feeling as confident as she had before she had kissed Tatum.

Mack/Tatum

It was terrifying how easily the blonde had gotten her to drop her defenses and just.. let that happen, even if only for a few scarce moments. Her lips still felt like they were tingling, and her hands were sweating a little as she rubbed them onto her legs through her jeans, feeling numb all over.

It was a struggle not to kiss the older girl again, just let herself go, but she quickly reminded herself how much she had to lose. No kiss was worth that, even if that one had left her stunned.

When Mack backed off and flopped onto her own side of the couch, Tatum saw her opening and jumped up off of her side of the cushions as if they were electrified. "I h-have to go," she stammered out, trying not to look at the blonde as she spoke. Her joint had gone out, and she shoved what was left haphazardly into her pocket, making sure she hadn't left anything else on the couch.

"That d-didn't-- I got my a-answer. That was n-nothing," she said, not sure how convincing she actually sounded. She kept a bit of distance between them, Mack on the couch and her standing in front of her, but she kept her eyes on the blonde. She needed to go, to get away from this situation, but looking away from the older girl was harder than she was ready to admit.

Mack watched the girl fly off the couch like it was on fire, and collect all of her belongings. It was almost amusing how unconvinced Tatum was in her own claims, and Mackenzie was pretty sure that that kiss wasn't nothing. She wanted to desperately to call the younger girl out on it, she had a feeling that it was going to take some pushing for the redhead to stop being in denial. She didn't do it however, the girl looked so vulnerable, so scared, she couldn't bring herself to freak the girl out anymore. She just nodded as Tatum told her she had to go, she wasn't going to stop her. She sat there staring at the other girl in silence for a few moments.

"I thought you were going to go?" she asked, raising her eyebrow. She didn't mean to sound so cocky, but it was hard when Tatum's words and actions said two different things. She really didn't want the girl to leave, but what was there really for her to do? "You don't gotta leave, I won't like, try to take advantage of you or anything."

"I-I am going to go," Tatum replied quickly, her cheeks turning an intense shade of pink as she stared at the blonde, narrowing her eyes slightly. It took a few moments for her body to catch up with her words, and she finally took a few steps backward, though her eyes stayed fixed on the older girl.

"M-Maybe another time, I can't-- y'know, I have.. places. And t-that was weird," she stammered, unsure what else to say. Her nervousness created word vomit. "That wasn't even s-so hot," the younger girl added weakly, before turning and heading off, hands shoving into her pockets as she walked. Why did things like this happen to her? Beautiful girls fell into her lap, and she couldn't do anything but run. She could already feel tears forming in her eyes as she headed in the direction of the campfire.

Mackenzie watched the redhead leave, frowning as she pulled out a cigarette and lit it. She was severely confused now, and couldn't tell what the hell the girl had been trying to say to her as she backed away. She wasn't sure how to feel about the whole kiss, but she figured that it was just an effect of the weed they had been smoking. She couldn't really feel that way about Tatum, could she? She was just another girl, and Mackenzie was just playing the game she knew how to play best.

Sighing, she picked herself up off the couch and headed back to the bar. She needed another drink after that emotional train wreck, another drink and perhaps a cute girl to distract her for the rest of the evening. She caught sight of a girl that struck her fancy and sidled over to the bar, greeting her with a tip of her hat. She ordered her a drink, said all of the right things and had the girl practically on top of her in no time. There was something missing about it though, and as Mack continued to get closer with the girl, she couldn't help but feel like there was something wrong. She didn't want this girl, there was nothing about her that made her feel the same way that Tatum did. It scared Mackenzie to make that realization, and she pushed it quickly to the back of her mind, suggesting to the girl that they go somewhere more private.

This was what she did, she was the Mack Daddy, and there was no way that she could actually like Tatum Donnelly enough to want only her. It was only because the girl was putting up a fight, Mackenzie reasoned as she lead the girl back to her room. She was done with this party anyway, there was no point to stay any longer, and she definitely wasn't leaving because Tatum had rejected her in a round about way. It was only because she had a cute girl on her arm, and was ready to have a little fun. She tried not to think about how she was comparing this girl to the redhead in every way as they walked through the woods, and how every time, the redhead won.
