Tatum was usually somewhat reluctant to journey out to parties, unless she had a particularly large batch of weed dried up. Since she had just spent an entire summer showing special attention to her little growing operation in the woods, the work had paid off. She had stepped out of her dormitory earlier in the evening with a fresh selection bagged up for sale, and if she couldn't buy that 3DS she wanted by tomorrow, she'd eat her hat.

Her lack of social skills often made selling a challenge. It was part of why it was.. well, part-time. She could man up for a few nights every party or so, but thankfully growing her own product meant that things took time. She enjoyed the little breaks in between, because nights like tonight were sometimes too much. She had already had two drinks slopped on her, and only one of them was her own. Neither had been her fault, but rather people just failing to notice she existed.

Returning to the bar, the redhead was weakly trying to get the bartenders attention, when suddenly Mackenzie was sidling up beside her. Fixing her with a suave little smile that made the younger girl falter slightly at the sight of it. Did she have to go around acting like she was such hot shit? Emphasis, unfortunately Tatum realized, on the hot part of that review.

"Uhm," she began lamely, swallowing hard and turning to look over her shoulder. Half to check to make sure Hunter wasn't with her, and half to see if Sera might come over and save her. She doubted the latter, of course. It had been Sera's fault that Mack had ever turned her eyes on her in the first place. She had been the one to 'set them up' so to speak. So much as she wanted to enjoy a few minutes of a pretty girl's attention, it just wasn't that simple.

"Working. S-Sort of," Tatum finally answered, looking over to where the bartender was serving another girl who had arrived later than her, still not noticing her. She had finished off her bottle of pink lemonade vodka already, and she felt a little drunk, but not nearly enough to fall for the looks the blonde girl was still giving her. She could feel her cheeks flushing under her gaze. "W-What's up with.. uhm, you? Like, it's.. your party. I guess."

One of her hands, shaking slightly, shot out and picked up her mostly empty plastic cup that was resting on the bar waiting to be refilled. She slurped down the last of the contents, staring into the empty bottle instead of making eye contact.
