Graduation had been exciting, uplifting. They were finally done with school and, for the most part, had gotten pretty high marks. There was nothing they couldn't handle now, and Mackenzie had been stoked to finally start working at the auror office. What they hadn't anticipated was the how hard the real world actually was. No more school, meant no more summer vacation, something that Hunter was still complaining bitterly about. Work could last as long as it needed to, and Mack had found herself coming home at all hours of the day when coverage got thin at the office. It wasn't like she didn't enjoy her work, but not getting to have as much free time to do things was starting to get under her skin.
It had been a rough week. Mack had been working more hours than she had time for in a day and she was extremely excited for her day off. It wasn't just the fact that she was finally getting some time to sleep in, although that had been a welcome thought. No, this particular day off was the day that Mack finally had time to see The Dark Knight Rises. The tall blonde could barely contain her excitement when she had gotten home from work, she had gone to pick out an outfit immediately. Finding the perfect Batman paraphernalia to wear to the movie was key.
Now Mack was bouncing up at down on the balls of her feet as they waited in line to get their tickets. It was everything she could do to keep from nerding out too much in public. Batman had always been her favorite of the super hero comics. He wasn't like the other hero's and Mack identified with that. Batman had a dark past, he didn't always come out the perfect savior every time. He was just a well trained member of the human race, anyone could be Batman if they really wanted to.
"Come on Tate!" she whined, tugging at the redhead's sleeve as they received their tickets. She pulled the smaller girl towards the snack stand and began bouncing on the balls of her feet again as they waited to order their snacks.
"Oh god, I am so excited!" Mack gushed, not standing still for one moments. "I've been waiting to see this all summer! You're the best T!"
