Nine months was a long time to go without a drink, in Hunter's honest opinion, so she had figured it was Michi's turn tonight. Especially after her own spectacularly drunken fuck-ups during the pregnancy that the younger girl had put up with. If Michi wanted to get wasted tonight, then Hunter had decided more power to her. It was her graduation, but some oddly adult part of her had also decided that it being graduation only made staying sober a better idea. She'd only get to do this once, and it would be one of her last college parties, at least as a student. Remembering it all was probably for the best. Plus there was the fact that someone needed to watch Izzy, which she was more than happy to do.
Mack kept asking her if she was practicing attachment parenting or something, because everywhere that the taller blonde went lately, she usually had her boy strapped to the front of her. It was perfect, let her take him anywhere and kept her hands free. He even seemed to sleep better leaning on her chest, Tatum had explained something about him listening to heartbeats and rhythms, but Hunter hadn't really listened. Regardless of the why, the baby carrier harness was one of the best investment she made, even if Michi refused to wear it. That just meant more time for her.
Stone cold sober was never really how she spent a party, but she was content with it tonight. She had mostly been just talking with people, walking around and shooting the shit, taking a few minutes to check on Iz and shift him around in his little carrier so that he was comfy. She normally wouldn't have taken him to the party, but most of the people they trusted to babysit were at it anyway, and it was one night, or so she reasoned. She had her eyes on him. He was a surprisingly solid sleeper, despite all of the yelling and whooping of the party-goers. Deep sleeper, just like Hunter herself. It made her grin. People kept asking her about her fight with Charlie every once in a while, which she was still sore about both physically and otherwise, but the blonde mostly waved it off. She'd get that bitch next time.
When Michi came running up to them, Hunter laughed a little, reaching out a hand to take the other girl's arm and steady her a bit. "Sleepin' like a li'l.. y'know, li'l baby or somethin' or other," Hunter assured her, crouching down a bit so that Michi could see him tucked against her chest in his little carrier. He was tucked in pretty cozy, and Hunter pulled a blanket back just a bit to get a better look at him. "He's gonna be a heart-breaker, bitches love 'em," she laughed. Tons of their friends and acquaintances had been asking to see him all night, aww'ing and cooing over him, and some of the sober ones had even got to hold him. Hunter couldn't have been prouder. "Not even a month old, an' all the girls wanna chill with 'em."
