Tatum had jumped a little when Mack barged into the changing room, and she scooted against the wall more to make room for the two of them in what was especially standing space. "P-Personal space much?" Tatum half-joked, squinting her eyes a bit and looking at the blonde as if to judge whether she was teasing her or being serious. "They all l-look like things my mom would p-pick out.. she'll p-probably be pleased, won't she?" The redhead muttered, hauling the yellow monstrosity up over her chest again, and eyeing herself in the full length mirror. Mack was right, the color wasn't the issue, it was the style that was so wrong.

"I d-don't want anything that's so.. so puffy.. I don't want anyone to s-step on it or something, what if they step on it and the w-whole dress rips off of me!?" Tatum suggested, looking panic-stricken at the mere thought of such a thing. She was pretty sure that kind of a disaster only happened in movies, but her life had felt a bit like a movie lately. Prom is the middle of everything was surreal, it was a moment of plain all American rite of passage, but everything else about her life was out in left field.

She scrunched her face up into a pout against the kisses, though they eventually made her crack a smile despite herself. "Fine, but don't.. pick anything r-really stupid. Or expensive," she added as an afterthought. Mack, who never had qualms about spending money on her much to Tatum's embarrassment, had already told her that between her and Madeline paying, price was not an issue. Prom dresses didn't exactly come cheap either, even the crappy ones, but it didn't stop Tatum from trying to deter the blonde girl. Being spoiled was still something that she was adjusting to dealing with. "Six hundred d-dollars for a d-dress that I'll only wear once is ridiculous.. that's like, three ounces of weed."

Despite her verbal protests however, Tatum leaned easily into Mack's arms, tucking her head under the blonde's chin. "Thanks," she murmured shyly. "I.. don't m-make me come out of the room. I'll s-show you but you h-have to look in here. I don't want t-those women to give me anything else to t-try."
