"I'll give you a fuckin' scene," he said, his fists clenching at his sides. He was ready to hit again. Everything bad that had happened in his life, he had blamed on this man and here he was acting perfectly innocent.

When Marney told William that she was pregnant he damn near had a heart attack. "Marney!" he snapped but then William began talking, talking about his mom. He hated that whole damn family, fuck them, he would be better off without half their drama.

"Don't you fuckin'..." then Marney slapped him, and almost all the hate he was feeling for her practically melted. He sneered at William cruelly. "Don't fuckin come back here. No one wants you here," he let Marney pull him away, keeping his eyes on William the whole time.

"I don't... I don't even know what to say," he said quietly when it was just him and Marney. "I didn't know he had other kids..."

Marney lead Leland away from her father, their father she supposed now that she knew Leland was her brother. William watched them go before stalking off towards the front of the school to appirate home. Once she was sure William was gone, she plopped down in an empty chair, dragging Leland down next to her.

"He's an ass," she muttered, rubbing her temples. "I didn't know he did either, but I always suspected he cheated on mom. Not that she doesn't cheat on him too." She sighed, looking up at Leland. "Fucking assholes, both of them."

She reached out and took his hand in hers. "I'm so sorry Le," she said sincerely. She felt guilty, the tables could have easily been turned.

He plunked down next to her, sullen and in an even worse mood than before but he did let Marney take his hand, feeling a little comfort in the gesture. "It's okay," he tried to shrug it off like it was no big deal even if the whole thing was bringing up everything he ever tried to hide about himself.

"I guess I'd rather have my fucked up life without him than a fucked up life with him," he growled.

"I'm sorry you had to get involved," he gave her hand a squeeze back. "Sorry you had to deal with him your whole life. I just had to deal with his absence."
