She took a step past Jenny, still glancing around a bit. It really did feel like forever since the last time she had been there. She hated the thought of someone else, Charlie, being in there with Jenny. Especially after glancing at the blonds bed for just a second. She tried to just shake it off though. "No worries, take your time. Our reservation isn't for bit."
"Thanks," She added, smiling a bit silly at the older girl, just ignoring the first part. It was her birthday and Valentine's Day she wanted to get her something. Waiting a moment for Jenny to open up the box, Sera grinned a bit as she pulled out the three gifts. She really hadn't gotten her that much. Not compared to some other past holidays anyway. She wasn't trying to buy back the blondes love or anything, but she had always loved to spoil her. She still had her parents money for now, but it was worrying not knowing how much she'd have when she was on her own with living expenses and everything. She figured she might as well take advantage of having expendable income while she could. "I was thinking we could maybe have some of the champagne and cookies later. You don't have to share with me though if you don't want."
"You still didn't tell me where we were going," Jenny commented, carefully opening the box and moving back over by her desk as she pulled everything out. She examined the perfume closely, turning and glancing over at Sera. "You didn't have to," she murmured again, though she was already spritzing a little bit on. Sera knew that she was a sucker for perfume, damn her. She couldn't help the way she was smiling.
"I could share with you.. but isn't it sort of a stretch to presume you're coming back here with me later?" she grinned, moving over to her bed to take the little purse that she had picked out to take with her for the evening. Moving back over to where Sera was, closer to the door, she hesitated for a split second before leaning in to plant a very quick kiss on the brunette's cheek. "Thank you," she said quietly. "Does it smell good on me?" she asked, smiling a little wider.
"No, I wanted to Jen.." She replied, watching Jenny look over the perfume. "I just saw it and thought of you, I guess. We're going to that place you like, the one that over looks the river?" She couldn't help but smile when Jenny glanced over at her and when she tried some of the perfume. "Do you like it? I thought the bottle was pretty cute." She added.
"Oh.. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that." She immediately started to apologize but loosened up at bit once she saw the grin on the older girls face. "We don't have to come back here. I can just walk you to your door. I'll have you home at whatever time you want." She giggled, glancing over at Jenny and adjusting her bowtie. Sera actually blushed a bit when Jenny kissed her cheek, feeling them warm up slightly. Things seemed to be going pretty good so far, she really didn't want to screw it up. "You're welcome. It smells amazing Jen." She whispered back, keeping her eyes fixed on Jenny. "You wanna uh, get going then?" She asked, figuring Jenny was just about finished gathering up the last of her things. She took a few steps towards the door, holding it open for Jenny. When the blond reached the door she offered her one of her hands. She wasn't sure if Jenny was going to take it but she wasn't going to get anywhere without taking chances. When it came to getting Jenny back, Sera really had no problem putting herself out there and looking like a fool if she had to.
Jenny supposed she should have figured that Sera would pick one of her favorite restaurants, and she couldn't help but smile. She guessed the brunette was really pulling out all of the stops tonight. She made a quick stop to her nearest dresser, putting the perfume down carefully, before heading out of the door that Sera held open for her. "Thank you," she said simply, pausing for just a moment before taking the hand that the younger girl offered out to her.
"You know, that place is expensive. We didn't have to go anywhere fancy," Jenny informed her slowly, as they made their way down the stairs through the Quirank dorms. She was trying to be careful with her high shoes on the steps, and she held Sera's hand quite tightly. "We could have just got chicken nuggets," she half-joked.
"I know you like the view that's all." She turned to Jenny smiling and swinging their hands a bit between them. Walking hand in hand with her ex, everything really did seem like it was back to normal again. Sera really could not have been happier. "It's no problem, Jen. It's really not that expensive.. I could be taken you to that French place I like." The brunette laughed a bit, turning back to Jenny again. That place was expensive. She usually only got to eat their when her mom was in town for lunch or something.
"We could always get chicken nuggets for our second date?" She joked back, squeezing the older girls hand a bit back. "Maybe Macdonald's? I haven't been there in forever actually. Max doesn't -- I just haven't been there in a while." She went with instead. She really just didn't want to talk or think about him at all right now. When they reached the car Sera finally let go of the blond's hand, holding the passenger door open for her instead. Closing the door behind her she made her way around and crawled in, quickly pulling on her seatbelt. "All set then?" She asked, turning to Jenny, who she noticed was already all bucked in too. She flicked the radio up a bit, turning it to a station that didn't completely suck. She left it fairly low though, just incase Jenny wanted to talk on the way there. Sera kind of wanted it a cigarette, but she didn't want one if Jenny wasn't having one. She didn't want to stink the whole night. |
