Faith poked her tongue out at Eddie before taking a big swig of juice. "Well she's the coolest baby I know" she said.

She shrugged at his question and fiddled with her fork. Somehow hwat he asked made her feel kind of like a baby. "Roanoke. Whatever, it's lame" she laughed. "Did you go to school here?"

Eddie giggled and made a face at Faith, putting her own syrupy hands up near her ears and crossing her eyes.

"Yeah, she's pretty awesome," Leland was practically beaming at the little girl. She really was his pride and joy, the only real family he had left.

He turned his attention back to Faith, grinning like a fool. "Oh yeah, I transferred in my sophomore year. I was a Shawnee."

Eddie smacked Leland with her moose. "Moosey pancake!" she demanded.

He laughed and and cut up some of his own pancake and put it onto her plate. "There. Is Moosey happy."

"Mmm-hmm," she nodded already shoveling the newly liberated pancake into her own mouth after pretending to feed it to the moose.
