Not daring to look at his watch, Samir could only guess it was at least time now. His stomach flipped at the massive bang that shook the ground and an odd whistling noise cut through the air as what looked like a car bonnet crashed onto the green, very nearly landing in the crowd. The melted remains of whatever status symbol had been on the hood dripped just like water.
He looked up to the sky where plumes of smoke in the school colours rose from the parking lot. Not bad for a rushed job, he thought, marveling at it until he was broken out of his trance by a student running past, nearly knocking Gemma to the floor. He steadied her and as his hearing came back, that must have been some bang, so did the screams of the people around. Time to put on a show, it seemed.
"Holy shit! Did you see that, Gem? What kind of monster" he spluttered, waving frantically at the sky.
