Mackenzie laughed as her older sister was sprayed with pancake and swept up into Hunter's hug. Kia was less amused however, but there was still a small smile on her face as she hugged the girl back. "Well someone had to show up to keep an eye on the two of you!" She wheezed, jabbing the taller girl in the ribs so she would release her from her vice like grip.
"Mackenzie was supposed to tell you I was going to be here," She continued, shooting a stern look at the other blonde. Mackenzie only gave Hunter a sheepish smile and small half shrug before looking down at her food. She really hadn't meant to forget, Hunter had just been hanging around with Michi. She hadn't wanted to interrupt and it had slipped her mind the next time she had seen the taller girl. "Ya'll were busy when I came to tell you about it," Mackenzie offered, sticking her tongue at the taller blonde. "Hunt's got a girlfriend now sis, she don't have time for little 'ol me anymore." Gasping, Kia turned back to Hunter and crossed her arms. "You have a girlfriend and you didn't tell me?" She asked, raising her eyebrow in question. Kia had always pried into the two girl's love lives, it was her job as older sister and temporary parent. She wasn't worried about anyone taking advantage of them, but she did worry about their potential to self-destruct a relationship. Plus, she wanted to make sure whoever they were dating would treat them right. "Do I get to meet her? Where is she? Does she have a sister for Mack?" "Kia!" Mack protested, looking slightly horrified. "I don't need help getting a date! Jesus! I have plenty of girls who want a piece of this." Kia just scoffed and waved off Mackenzie's protests, "I'm not talking about lovin' and leavin' them Bunny. You need to settle down! I want grandkids!" Mackenzie was speechless, Kia had not only used the stupid nick name she used to call her when they were younger, but she had insinuated that she wanted grandkids. "Wha-? Don't call me that in front of people! And they wouldn't be your grandkids anyway! You're my sister! Back me up here Hunt!" She turned to Hunter with a slightly exasperated look, hoping that her best friend would get her sister off her back. She knew that Hunter would probably side with Kia though, she always did just to piss the shorter blonde off.
"That bitch didn't tell me shit!" Hunter cried, releasing Kia finally as she was prodded and jabbed into it. She turned on her best friend, feeling her cheeks flushing a bit as the other blonde began to tease her about Michi. "Oh shaddup already! I spend time wit' you all the damn time!"
She didn't have much time to rip Mack apart though, before Kia was barraging her with questions. "Calm down! It ain't even-- it's jus' Michi, c'mon! We're-- y'know, doin' whatever. We have a thing," the tall blonde tried to explain, trailing off a bit. It helped when Mack started bitching about not needing to be hooked up. "She's a mess, Kia.. y'should see her when she's around this kid? She's like hurr, durrr hi there Tatum!! Let me kiss yer feet! It's fuckin' pathetic really," she quickly chimed in. "Right, Bunny?" It was never fun to take Mack's side. It was way more fun to see her get all worked up. "I think she needs a real nice girl like Michi. But not Michi, cos she's mine."
Kia listened to Hunter with rapt attention while Mackenzie muttered about how Hunter was a huge sap when they hung out. When Hunter said that her and Michi had a "thing" she couldn't help but snort disbelievingly. "A thing? You guys have way more than a thing!" She said, smirking at Hunter as Kia whipped around to listen to her. "Sis, they're like two little love sick puppies. You should'a seen 'em after the party, I think Hunt might of told Michi that she L-O-V-E-D her."
Kia's eyes went wide and she looked back to Hunter for conformation that this information was true. "You love her Hunter?" she asked, watching the taller girl expectantly. Mackenzie just sat back triumphantly, enjoying Hunter embarrassment until Hunter began starting in on her Tatum obsession. Scowling, Mackenzie glared at Hunter as she teased her, gritting her teeth more and more. She was trying to formulate a comeback through all of her rage when Hunter utilized the name. Growling slightly, she ignored Hunter's next statement as she launched herself over the table to tackle the blonde girl. She ignored the pancake squishing under her shoe, and Kia's protests as she took the taller girl down and punched her square in the face. "Shut your goddamn mouth!" She seethed, shaking Hunter by the front of her shirt. Many of the students and their families were staring now, and Kia just laughed nervously, rubbing the back of her head as the two girls tussled on the ground for a few minutes. She was torn between stopping them, and letting them sort it out on their own when she saw a few of the staff looking over in their direction. Sighing unhappily, she stepped forward and grabbed at whatever she could get her hands on. "You two stop it right now!" She bellowed, yanking them apart as best she could.
When Kia rounded on her, Hunter froze. Her eyes were slightly wide, and she fought the urge to strangle Mack.
"I guess? I mean, yeah.. but Kia, she's makin' it sounder gayer than it was! I wasn't all queer about it--" the taller blonde protested quickly in her defense just before Mackenzie came flying across the table, knocking her out of her seat and sending them tumbling backwards. She made sure to get a grip on the other blonde as soon as she was close enough, digging her fingers into whatever she could grab. "Get offa me, I ain't yer ginger!" she snapped as Mack shook her by her shirt. Totally oblivious to any of the scene going on around them, Hunter was getting angry herself now. Why did Mack have to go and ruin a good day? She was always making such a scene! Giving the other girl a shove, she was hauled backwards a moment later by Kia. "She started it!" Hunter shouted, sounding perfectly seven.
Mackenzie was about to hit the other girl after being shoved when Kia pulled her off the taller girl. Growling again, she scowled at the two of them, her arms crossed. She knew it was a cheap shot but she just snapped when Hunter brought up Tatum. She didn't know why it had made her so aggravated but it had made her blood boil.
When Hunter accused her of starting it, she scoffed as if it was the most ridiculous thing she'd ever heard. "Nuh-uh!" She shot back, sticking out her tongue. "I didn't do 'nothing! You were the one who started it! Talking shit about my love life." She trailed off grumbling, getting herself worked up again. Kia could feel Mack tensing behind her, like she was going to pounce again. While Kia had been strong enough to pull them off each other when they were younger, the two girls had long since out grown her in height. Not to mention their avid training had made them both much strong than she was. She did the only thing she could really think of to stop her little sister from launching herself back at Hunter. Elbowing Mackenzie as hard as she could in the stomach, she kept her grip on the back of Hunter's shirt. Mackenzie let out a surprised grunt as she felt Kia's elbow jab into her side. Doubling over in pain, she wheezed and shot a angry glare up at her sister. "The fuck was that for?" She coughed out, still clutching her side as she straightened up a little. "I didn't want you jumping at Hunter again," Kia said shrugging. "You did start it Kenzie, and now I finished it. Sit back down, both of you, and lets have a nice breakfast together as a civilized family." She released Hunter, and turned to her with her index finger pointing at her threateningly. "And there will be no gloating, got it? Or I'll elbow you too." Kia shot both of them one last warning look before returning to her seat at the table. She turned to the family sitting nearest them and gave them a cheerful smile. "Lovely morning, isn't it?"
Hunter let out a loud snort of laughter as Mackenzie was subdued by her older sister. Her laughter only cut short when Kia rounded on her next and pointed the finger in her face. Struggling not to at least grin, the taller blonde nodded obediently and gave her best mock salute to Kia.
"Yeah, yeah, I know the rules," she replied. She knew the older girl would have no problem dropping her with an elbow or two too. The few inches in height she had over Kia never really helped. Sitting down at the table and hunching back over her plate, she began to shovel pancake into her mouth again. She applied more syrup, as if they weren't already saturated. When Kia turned to talk the next family over, Hunter opened her mouth wide in Mack's direction, making sure the other girl got a good view of her chewed up food. She did have that problem where she never knew when to quit..
Sulking, Mackenzie dropped back into her seat and watched with disgust as Hunter drowned her pancakes in syrup once again. Her look of turned even more sour when Hunter opened her mouth to show her the chewed up food.
"You're disgusting," Mack said, glaring at Hunter. She was still smarting from Kia's jab in the side, and her pride was still smarting from being told she had lost. Hunter never knew when to quit though, and Mack never knew when to stop taking the bait. Loading her fork with some pancake, she launched it across the table at Hunter's face.
"I know ya are, but what am I?" Hunter shot right back, grinning and finally swallowing her food. She had been about to open her mouth to add something else, when a soggy clump of Mack's pancake landed against the side of her cheek and hair.
"You nasty whore!" she shouted in disgust, quickly wiping the food off of herself. Her hair was all sticky now, and her eyes narrowed across the table at Mack. Her brain only needed a moment to plan her next moves in situations like these. Reaching out, she pushed over the bottle of syrup, spilling it onto the other blonde's side of the table so that it ran everywhere, including over the edge and into her lap. "Oops, butterfingers!"
Mack stood up from the table as quickly as she could when Hunter knocked the syrup bottle over, but it wasn’t fast enough. Gobs of sticky warm syrup now covered most of her left pant leg, and she wasn’t sure whether to hurriedly wipe it off or to kill the blonde girl across from her. “You cunt,” She spat, glaring daggers at the other girl, clenching her fists. She was ready to launch over the table all over again when Kia interjected.
The older blonde thwacked Hunter over the head and fixed Mackenzie with a glare that promised death if the girl even thought about flying over the table again. People were staring again, and the oldest blonde even noticed a few dirty looks being shot in their direction. “Sit down Mackenzie,” she demanded, still fixing her younger sister with a cold glare. “If I catch either of you misbehave for the rest of this meal, so help me god, I will make your life a living hell. Don’t think that I won’t.” Mackenzie knew that her sister would be true to her word, while Kia might have been the smallest of the three of them, she could still make the two of them cower in fear if she wanted to. Raising them meant that Kia had learned quickly how to get what she wanted out of the two, they would have walked all over her otherwise. Mack looked back down to her seat, part of it still covered in syrup, she picked up a napkin and wiped it off as best she could before flopping back down in her chair. Kia looked pleased, and went back to eating the fruit on her plate. “So, tell me about this Tatum,” She said after a few moments, looking up and smiling sweetly at Mackenzie. The taller blonde glared at her, of course Kia would keep digging, she should have known better. “There’s nothing to tell,” She muttered angrily, pushing her food around on her plate. She knew Hunter would rat her out anyway, what was the point of trying to argue when Kia would just listen to the other girl.
Hunter had been about to laugh loudly, but get let out a little "ow!" instead as Kia gave her a good whack upside the head. She winced, listening with the slightest pout as the older girl promised to put them through hell if they didn't know if off. She knew the older blonde meant business, there was no denying that, she knew the two of them too well not to have a bit of control over them. She had taught Sera a couple of her wrangling tricks a couple of years ago, but she was no Kia. There wasn't really anyone who could settle fear of punishment into Hunter like Kia did, probably not even the Headmaster or something.
"Sorry," the taller blonde sighed, settling back into eating as well, munching obnoxiously on a slice of toast as she looked up the table to see people still looking their way. She stuck her tongue out at one boy in particular, and he hurried put his eyes back to his plate. Only when Kia brought Tatum back up did Hunter return her attention to the conversation. Without being able to pick on Mack, there was nothing to pay attention to, it was just breakfast. But then big sister had given her the perfect chance to rat the other girl out, and Hunter had to take it. She meant it with affection, of course! For the other girl's own good. She was bad at all of those feelings things, and was useless to Mack when it came to comforting her regarding the little redhead. So if Kia got the details, it would be in her lap instead. The older girl was much better suited to helping out in the romance department. Scooting closer to Kia, Hunter leaned her chin into her palm, elbow rested on the table. "Well," she began slowly, as if thinking over where to begin. "She's straight.. supposedly straight, I don't see it. She got boyfriends, but ya know how that shit goes, some chicks are just straight until wet. Maybe she really don't know she's a homo, I dunno, but either way.. she don't want no Mack Daddy and somebody don't like hearin' a girly say 'no', right?" Pausing for a moment, she went on. "You know the kid, she's that little redhead. Sera's sister! You musta seen her once or twice. Imagine Mack, tryin' to lean down and kiss that li'l shrimp!"
Kia smiled as Hunter scooted closer, she knew that if Mackenzie wouldn't talk about her little crush, Hunter would readily rat the other girl out. It was evil and a little bit immature, but Mack was the kind of person who kept a lot of things to herself. Kia was just genuinely worried about her sisters well being, she had never approved of the way that the younger girl had used girl's. Not that Kia couldn't see exactly why the girl acted the way she did, but it didn't justify it for the oldest blonde one bit. She had been hoping that Mackenzie would grow out of it eventually and settle down, maybe find someone who really made her happy. If the blonde girl was really as hung up on this kid as Hunter claimed, then Kia was interested to see how things turned out.
Mackenzie however, could only dislike Hunter and her sister more at that moment in time, especially as she listened to what Hunter was saying. She muttered angrily under her breath and was only able to keep her temper by thinking of all the horrible ways to stab Hunter with her fork. Her eyes snapped up at Hunter's "Mack Daddy" comment however, and she shot the girl the coldest glare she could muster. "Fuck...you make me sound like I want to rape the kid, Jesus!" She sputtered, feeling slightly flustered at Hunter's mention of her kissing the redhead. "I just...I think she's cool, alright? Maybe I don't just wanna bone her or whatever." She trailed off, muttering to herself under her breath as Kia beamed at her knowingly. "I remember Tatum," She said, turning back to Hunter with the smile still firmly on her face. "What a sweet kid, I think they'd be adorable together. Think about how cute their kids would be!" Mackenzie was positive that all the color had drained out of her face at this point, and she was gripping the table so hard that her knuckles were turning white. "Will you lay off with this kids crap!" She hissed at her sister, feeling her face heating up. "Tatum won't even look at me without looking like I disgust her, let alone talk about our future family with me." She knew she was only digging the hole deeper now, and shut her mouth quickly, stabbing her fork forcefully into her stack of pancakes. "Anyway, stop all this shit about settin' me up with people. You're gonna ruin my reputation." Kia frowned at her sister and tutted with disapproval, "Maybe your reputation is the reason Tatum won't look at you any differently." She gave the girl a pointed look, and shrugged her shoulders. Mack eyes were glued to her food as if it was telling her the secret to living forever. She was starting to get that icky feeling inside when she thought about her life a little too closely.
"I never said rape! I bet you'd make love to her, nice an' tender.. like a li'l bitch," Hunter grinned wildly, waggling her eyebrows at the shorter girl across the table. She snorted at the idea that Mack wouldn't want to sleep with the redhead. Even if she was having totally lame feelings about her and stuff, sex still had to be a factor. It was just how Mack worked.
"Imagine! What a buncha cuties, the pitter patter of little ginger feet.. oh, I'd be some proud to see 'em! Mack Daddy would be a real daddy," the blonde chimed in agreement, leaning over and leaning down to rest her head on Kia's shoulder. When Kia burned Mack, the tallest girl whistled loudly, shaking her head. "My goodness! Ain't that the truth? You gotta give up that player way, girl."
Mackenzie stood up from the table quickly, refusing to make eye contact with either her sister or Hunter. She couldn't handle this conversation any longer, Kia was being brutally honest with her and Hunter couldn't take anything seriously. The blonde girl was done with this lovely family breakfast, she really didn't feel like coming to terms with her problems this morning.
"Well I'm glad you two have found something to bond over," she said angrily, still looking at the table. "Fuck you both, I'm leaving." Turning on her heel, she stomped off, ignoring the looks from the several families around them that had witnessed the whole breakfast. Kia just sat and watched her go, knowing that she had hit a sensitive topic with her sister. She figured that deep down, Mackenzie really did care that she slept around so much. Sighing, she leaned her head against Hunter's and frowned, looking at the now empty spot across the table. "Well that went well," she said after a few moments of silence, poking at her food. "Is she always this touchy about Tatum? Or is it just because I'm here?"
Hunter had expected Mack to get irritated with them, but she hadn't expected the other blonde to just storm off entirely. She watched her go with a look of mild surprise for a moment before shouting after her. "We got lots to bond over without ya, no worries!" she called, just as the other girl's back disappeared through the door and out of the cafeteria.
Shrugging a bit as Kia questioned her about the Tatum situation, Hunter supposed she could be honest and more candid now that Mack wasn't around to silence the truly mushy details. "All the damn time," the taller blonde grunted, eyes rolling. "I really don't know what's gettin' into her.. she's like a li'l puppy dog and this bitch just kicks her and she keeps comin' back. Weirdest thing is that I think they both like it, like they love to hate each other and get under each other's skin.. I dunno, Ki. The kid looks like eleven years old anyhow! Not a titty in sight!"
Kia listened to Hunter speak and laughed when she heard the taller girl's no titty comment. "Oh you boys and your tits," She said, prodding the girl in the side and smiling. It was a strange occurrence to be sure, her sister letting any girl kick her around like that. She wasn't sure what to think of it. Mackenzie had always known what she wanted, and had more often than not gotten it. Kia smirked knowingly as she thought more about her sisters behavior.
"That's very interesting," she murmured, still deep in thought. "If what you say is true Hunt, I think our little Mackenzie might just be in love." A wide grin had broken out on her face, and she looked around the dining hall. Craning her neck slightly, she scanned the masses of students for red hair. "Point her out to me kiddo, and then you can tell me all about Michiko." Beaming, Kia couldn't help but let out a small clap of excitement. "My girls! All grown up and in love! It makes a mother proud to see her babies going off into the world. First, I must make sure that these young ladies are good enough for you two though. I'll have to kill them if they ever hurt either of you, you know."
"I do love me a good titty," Hunter agreed happily, a grin breaking out on her face as the older girl poked her in the side. When Kia came out with it and accused Mack of being in love, Hunter slammed her fist down on the table to emphasis her point. "Exactly what I was thinkin' too! I ain't never seen her act like this for nobody, s'kinda pathetic even," she explained, shaking her head.
She followed Kia's gaze, staring around the room as well, but not really seeing anyone they were looking for. "Don't see her. It's pretty early, they might be at church.. their dad's a real nut for church," Hunter sighed, slouching down in her seat more. "I bet I could get miss prefect to send me a picture, one sec," she added quickly, grabbing around in her shorts pockets for a few moments before actually producing her phone. The taller blonde was mid-text to Sera when she actually realized Kia had asked to hear more about Michiko. She wasn't ashamed to say it, but she was still embarrassed by it. There were times when extreme mushiness were acceptable, mainly only with Michi herself, and this wasn't one of them. There was no mistaking Kia's excitement and Hunter knew she couldn't fight her off of detail patrol forever. The older girl almost always got what she wanted out of them if she really put herself to the task. She looked like she was in the mood to do just that. "H-Hey! You're makin' it sound all gay now! We're not-- well, Mack might be in love, but I'm jus'.. y'know, settling down. Gettin' all my li'l duckies in a row and shit.. ya know how it is," Hunter replied grudgingly, pouting the whole time and failing at making her excuse sound masculine and unconcerned. "I dunno 'bout that kid, but Michi is more than good enough for me! Hell, I might not be good enough for her." |
