Hunter had been about to laugh loudly, but get let out a little "ow!" instead as Kia gave her a good whack upside the head. She winced, listening with the slightest pout as the older girl promised to put them through hell if they didn't know if off. She knew the older blonde meant business, there was no denying that, she knew the two of them too well not to have a bit of control over them. She had taught Sera a couple of her wrangling tricks a couple of years ago, but she was no Kia. There wasn't really anyone who could settle fear of punishment into Hunter like Kia did, probably not even the Headmaster or something.
"Sorry," the taller blonde sighed, settling back into eating as well, munching obnoxiously on a slice of toast as she looked up the table to see people still looking their way. She stuck her tongue out at one boy in particular, and he hurried put his eyes back to his plate. Only when Kia brought Tatum back up did Hunter return her attention to the conversation. Without being able to pick on Mack, there was nothing to pay attention to, it was just breakfast. But then big sister had given her the perfect chance to rat the other girl out, and Hunter had to take it. She meant it with affection, of course! For the other girl's own good. She was bad at all of those feelings things, and was useless to Mack when it came to comforting her regarding the little redhead. So if Kia got the details, it would be in her lap instead. The older girl was much better suited to helping out in the romance department. Scooting closer to Kia, Hunter leaned her chin into her palm, elbow rested on the table. "Well," she began slowly, as if thinking over where to begin. "She's straight.. supposedly straight, I don't see it. She got boyfriends, but ya know how that shit goes, some chicks are just straight until wet. Maybe she really don't know she's a homo, I dunno, but either way.. she don't want no Mack Daddy and somebody don't like hearin' a girly say 'no', right?" Pausing for a moment, she went on. "You know the kid, she's that little redhead. Sera's sister! You musta seen her once or twice. Imagine Mack, tryin' to lean down and kiss that li'l shrimp!"
Kia smiled as Hunter scooted closer, she knew that if Mackenzie wouldn't talk about her little crush, Hunter would readily rat the other girl out. It was evil and a little bit immature, but Mack was the kind of person who kept a lot of things to herself. Kia was just genuinely worried about her sisters well being, she had never approved of the way that the younger girl had used girl's. Not that Kia couldn't see exactly why the girl acted the way she did, but it didn't justify it for the oldest blonde one bit. She had been hoping that Mackenzie would grow out of it eventually and settle down, maybe find someone who really made her happy. If the blonde girl was really as hung up on this kid as Hunter claimed, then Kia was interested to see how things turned out.
Mackenzie however, could only dislike Hunter and her sister more at that moment in time, especially as she listened to what Hunter was saying. She muttered angrily under her breath and was only able to keep her temper by thinking of all the horrible ways to stab Hunter with her fork. Her eyes snapped up at Hunter's "Mack Daddy" comment however, and she shot the girl the coldest glare she could muster. "Fuck...you make me sound like I want to rape the kid, Jesus!" She sputtered, feeling slightly flustered at Hunter's mention of her kissing the redhead. "I just...I think she's cool, alright? Maybe I don't just wanna bone her or whatever." She trailed off, muttering to herself under her breath as Kia beamed at her knowingly. "I remember Tatum," She said, turning back to Hunter with the smile still firmly on her face. "What a sweet kid, I think they'd be adorable together. Think about how cute their kids would be!" Mackenzie was positive that all the color had drained out of her face at this point, and she was gripping the table so hard that her knuckles were turning white. "Will you lay off with this kids crap!" She hissed at her sister, feeling her face heating up. "Tatum won't even look at me without looking like I disgust her, let alone talk about our future family with me." She knew she was only digging the hole deeper now, and shut her mouth quickly, stabbing her fork forcefully into her stack of pancakes. "Anyway, stop all this shit about settin' me up with people. You're gonna ruin my reputation." Kia frowned at her sister and tutted with disapproval, "Maybe your reputation is the reason Tatum won't look at you any differently." She gave the girl a pointed look, and shrugged her shoulders. Mack eyes were glued to her food as if it was telling her the secret to living forever. She was starting to get that icky feeling inside when she thought about her life a little too closely.
"I never said rape! I bet you'd make love to her, nice an' tender.. like a li'l bitch," Hunter grinned wildly, waggling her eyebrows at the shorter girl across the table. She snorted at the idea that Mack wouldn't want to sleep with the redhead. Even if she was having totally lame feelings about her and stuff, sex still had to be a factor. It was just how Mack worked.
"Imagine! What a buncha cuties, the pitter patter of little ginger feet.. oh, I'd be some proud to see 'em! Mack Daddy would be a real daddy," the blonde chimed in agreement, leaning over and leaning down to rest her head on Kia's shoulder. When Kia burned Mack, the tallest girl whistled loudly, shaking her head. "My goodness! Ain't that the truth? You gotta give up that player way, girl."
Mackenzie stood up from the table quickly, refusing to make eye contact with either her sister or Hunter. She couldn't handle this conversation any longer, Kia was being brutally honest with her and Hunter couldn't take anything seriously. The blonde girl was done with this lovely family breakfast, she really didn't feel like coming to terms with her problems this morning.
"Well I'm glad you two have found something to bond over," she said angrily, still looking at the table. "Fuck you both, I'm leaving." Turning on her heel, she stomped off, ignoring the looks from the several families around them that had witnessed the whole breakfast. Kia just sat and watched her go, knowing that she had hit a sensitive topic with her sister. She figured that deep down, Mackenzie really did care that she slept around so much. Sighing, she leaned her head against Hunter's and frowned, looking at the now empty spot across the table. "Well that went well," she said after a few moments of silence, poking at her food. "Is she always this touchy about Tatum? Or is it just because I'm here?"
Hunter had expected Mack to get irritated with them, but she hadn't expected the other blonde to just storm off entirely. She watched her go with a look of mild surprise for a moment before shouting after her. "We got lots to bond over without ya, no worries!" she called, just as the other girl's back disappeared through the door and out of the cafeteria.
Shrugging a bit as Kia questioned her about the Tatum situation, Hunter supposed she could be honest and more candid now that Mack wasn't around to silence the truly mushy details. "All the damn time," the taller blonde grunted, eyes rolling. "I really don't know what's gettin' into her.. she's like a li'l puppy dog and this bitch just kicks her and she keeps comin' back. Weirdest thing is that I think they both like it, like they love to hate each other and get under each other's skin.. I dunno, Ki. The kid looks like eleven years old anyhow! Not a titty in sight!"
Kia listened to Hunter speak and laughed when she heard the taller girl's no titty comment. "Oh you boys and your tits," She said, prodding the girl in the side and smiling. It was a strange occurrence to be sure, her sister letting any girl kick her around like that. She wasn't sure what to think of it. Mackenzie had always known what she wanted, and had more often than not gotten it. Kia smirked knowingly as she thought more about her sisters behavior.
"That's very interesting," she murmured, still deep in thought. "If what you say is true Hunt, I think our little Mackenzie might just be in love." A wide grin had broken out on her face, and she looked around the dining hall. Craning her neck slightly, she scanned the masses of students for red hair. "Point her out to me kiddo, and then you can tell me all about Michiko." Beaming, Kia couldn't help but let out a small clap of excitement. "My girls! All grown up and in love! It makes a mother proud to see her babies going off into the world. First, I must make sure that these young ladies are good enough for you two though. I'll have to kill them if they ever hurt either of you, you know."
"I do love me a good titty," Hunter agreed happily, a grin breaking out on her face as the older girl poked her in the side. When Kia came out with it and accused Mack of being in love, Hunter slammed her fist down on the table to emphasis her point. "Exactly what I was thinkin' too! I ain't never seen her act like this for nobody, s'kinda pathetic even," she explained, shaking her head.
She followed Kia's gaze, staring around the room as well, but not really seeing anyone they were looking for. "Don't see her. It's pretty early, they might be at church.. their dad's a real nut for church," Hunter sighed, slouching down in her seat more. "I bet I could get miss prefect to send me a picture, one sec," she added quickly, grabbing around in her shorts pockets for a few moments before actually producing her phone. The taller blonde was mid-text to Sera when she actually realized Kia had asked to hear more about Michiko. She wasn't ashamed to say it, but she was still embarrassed by it. There were times when extreme mushiness were acceptable, mainly only with Michi herself, and this wasn't one of them. There was no mistaking Kia's excitement and Hunter knew she couldn't fight her off of detail patrol forever. The older girl almost always got what she wanted out of them if she really put herself to the task. She looked like she was in the mood to do just that. "H-Hey! You're makin' it sound all gay now! We're not-- well, Mack might be in love, but I'm jus'.. y'know, settling down. Gettin' all my li'l duckies in a row and shit.. ya know how it is," Hunter replied grudgingly, pouting the whole time and failing at making her excuse sound masculine and unconcerned. "I dunno 'bout that kid, but Michi is more than good enough for me! Hell, I might not be good enough for her." |
