It took an extremely large portion of Hunter's self control not to go off again, or just keep going. She let Michi take over and do some of the talking, just sitting tall and glaring seriously and menacingly across the table at her parents. What was it with the three of them? Between her, Michi, and Mack, she was pretty sure there wasn't a nice parent on the bunch.
Maybe they had all been left on doorsteps or something, like tall Cinderellas.
"I'd love to go, 'fore I spit in this fool's face," Hunter agreed, standing up and staring at Akio in particular. He had even less room to talk then Mika, yet he kept his occasional comments grating on Hunter's nerves.

Reaching over, she scruffed the kid's head, grinning at him weakly. "Let's bounce, babe." she suggested finally, turning her little grin on Michi instead.
