"I think so too, crazy hippie bitches," she snorted and snuggled in a little closer, definitely feeling more at ease now that she knew the baby wasn't in any trouble. She wrapped her arms around Hunter's waist and sighed contentedly. "Can you imagine how they did it like back in the old days when they didn't have hospitals and shit?" she shivered.
"Yeah! And captain of Roanoke and University," she smiled. "Speaking of him... or her," she remembered. "We find out for sure at the next appointment," there was a little excitement in her voice that she couldn't quite explain. "I was thinking we could start pickin' names for serious soon."
"I don't even like thinkin' bout shit like that. Anythin' could kill ya when they didn't have hospitals.. I'd probably be long dead. Mack too," she admitted, laughing a bit and leaning back, snuggling into the arms her girlfriend had around her waist. "I'll take ya to a real classy hospital. One with like.. someone to dry your hands in the bathroom. And mints on the pillow."
She had almost forgotten that there was another appointment soon, and such an important one, and she practically jolted up at the reminder. "Shit! Already? We're gonna know?" she asked, already grinning at the thought. It made her feel oddly nervous, even though she knew it didn't matter. Boy or girl, they'd work through it the same. But boys did have cute clothes. "If we're pickin' names, I still ain't backin' down on Rhianna. Or what about Tony? Like as in, Tony Romo, our future husband. I guess I can share since it's wit' you."
"Oh shit girl, I'm delivering in style," she grinned. "Steak dinner and all," she winked. "And some amazing little slippers!"
"I know!" she said bouncing a little. "I'm super excited! It totally doesn't matter either way but still... it might be nice to give Monkey a proper name," she grinned. "Tony?!" she wrinkled her nose. "That's like... asking to put him on the Jersey Shore!" she giggled. "Maybe we could do like a traditional Japanese name if Monkey is a boy. If Monkey is a girl... well she's gonna be fierce, so we might as well name her Rhianna," Michi laughed.
"Girl, if you get steak, they better bring one for the ol' man too," she grinned backed.
"Hey! Tony is a real nice name.. Tony Sommer-Passos got a nice ring to it, don'tcha think? But I like a traditional name, that's like.. the mature thing to do an' we're real mature now, right?" Grinning wildly at Michi's acceptance of her suggestion, she gave the younger girl a tight squeeze. "Damn right she's gonna be fierce, look at her mom, fuckin' duh!"
"Yeah babe, we're like... aces at bein' mature and shit," she grinned and kissed Hunter on the cheek. "Well... at least we'll figure it out by the time Monkey comes along."
She giggled at Hunter's summation of how fierce their baby would be if she was a girl. "Yeah well, gonna be pretty fuckin' awesome no matter what. And of course always in fashion," she grinned.
"I'm learnin'.. Sera been givin' me some pointers bout growin' up and shit," Hunter replied, grinning as her cheek was kissed. Sera had actually been giving her pointers on how to grow up since the day they had met, but she had only recently started listening so she supposed that was what counted.
"Fashion? That kid is gonna come outta there in fashion, we'll like.. git baby cowboy boots. That's cute as shit right there."
"Ser's good at that shit. Maybe she can give me some pointers," she grinned. "At the very least she's givin' you good daddy advice cause you been a god damn saint."
"So cute," Michi laughed lightly. "We can get little outfits and shit. I been squirrelin' away money while I can," she admitted, blowing right over her concern about her mother.
"Hey now hey!" Hunter quickly protested, making sure to put on her best mock offended expression. "I'm a saint all on my own, I was like that 'fore she came along, believe me. Ser just.. I dunno, guides my arrow or whatever it's called."
Perking up at the mention of spending money, she gave the younger girl another squeeze. "You wait till you see all the shit I'm bringin' after Thanksgiving this year. I ain't never had a Black Friday where I had to get baby stuff.. am I gonna have to fight other moms? Cos I can do that shit."
"I was just teasin' babe," Michi grinned, pressing another kiss to Hunter's cheek. "I know you were a saint 'fore she got to ya. No one else would put up with this shit."
Michi laughed. "Oh yeah. Mom's and aunties are the friggin' worst when it comes to having to fight for baby shit. This is why we gotta send pops into the trenches," she teased gently. "Just the other day I saw this amazing little dinosaur outfit. I totally bought it but I had to fight this bitch for it," she grinned. "Tooth and nail baby."
"Hey," Hunter pouted, surprisingly sober. "You ain't shit."
Despite becoming serious so quick, she was soon laughing at Michi's story, squeezing her girlfriend again and pressing a series of quick kisses to the side of her temple. "Goddamnit, yer jus' the goddamn cutest, shit! I bet you put the smackdown on that whore, bet it was sexy as fuck." |
