1. There may have been some screaming at some point about 'not my type' to certain boys in the building, followed by a calm 'No offense,' 'None Taken,' and bursting into laughter.

2. Most might expect a girl with a florist hookup to get herself flowers to wear on a date -- red, white, and blue ones, in this case -- but most probably wouldn't expect the plants for experimental purposes. Unless they knew Val.

3.He pumped her for advice about Andrea and mostly got 'you're doing fine!'

4. There may be puppy-dog eyes when she talks too much science, and calls of 'head....huuuuurts.'

5. As with all sane persons, in Mac's opinion, they agree on the superiority of New York pizza.

1."Oh my deity-of-choice, I love your hair!" May not be the best thing to say to someone when you're knocking the legs out from under a thug and she's protecting the dog he was abusing, but it worked.

2. By their powers combined, Ash had the best waterproof mascara in the universe, and Eli had amazingly comfortable, stylish shoes.

3. He gave her a new unicorn figurine for every special occasion.

4. He frequently diffused discussions of penguins by seguing into the best tuxedos.

5. GK's of the opinion that not having any idea who your father is has its benefits.

1. They both agreed to say nothing to their mothers until they saw how things went.
2. The picnic was fantastic, with food from at least five cultures.
3. It was refreshing to speak to someone outside the Corps capable of taking Snark terrorists seriously.
4. Mac tried to be sensitive about the Uncle Thing.
5. It ended in a chaste kiss.

1. She was hungry. So hungry. It was so hard to keep control.
2. He was practically slack-jawed and all she could think about was what was her and what was.... what she was.
3. She managed just enough control of herself to make him take precautions, both because her dad's had always told her to when the time came, and because it was best, and also hoping she would hurt him less.
4. Michael was hospitalized with a big smile on his face.
5. He made a full recovery.

1. They'd been dating for quite some time before it happened, because a boy had to be willing to wait until Moira was ready, and Argo had accepted the Challenge!
2. Safety measures were brought up in one of the firmest ways possible: 'Granny Said So.'
3. Granny's credit card was produced to cover all of the property damage.
4. Afterwards, they had a positively enormouse breakfast.
5. Moira insisted that the next time should be outdoors. More responsible.

1. It happened some time after Cindy found out about Nic and Mickey's past dalliances.
2. Cindy had straightened up, and decided if it was something that made Nic happy, they should try it. But no boys directly involved, no matter how fond she was of Steven.
3. Cindy was heart-racingly nervous, and jealous, and nervous.
4. But they were both so gorgeous, even together
5. They ended up putting on quite the little show.

1. Even her fairly valid opinion of 'amateurs' could not dampen his volunteering enthusiasm.
2. Within a couple of weeks of being pals, she knew the topics of all his mother's books and every governor his uncle had ever lobbied. Not that she was nosy or anything.
3.Sammy was happy to let GK help her with her makeup. Particularly the greens and dark grays that he insisted would be near-invisibility.
4. He would not stop gushing about her mother's hair.
5. He'd sometimes stare a little wistfully at her for a while after a desire to 'Make Dad Proud' registered with him, and wonder what that was like.

1. Cinnamon-plantain sandwiches can be a powerful aphrodesiac.
2. They reach a point where she actually gets a bit shy about the 'deformity' of her waist area, but Austin won't betray any shock.
3. Enthusiasm, a good sense of humor, a quick mind, and many, many agile nimble fingers can make up greatly for a lack of prior experience.
4. She's grateful for her inability to get off-balance or dizzy on several occasions.
5. They tidy up responsibly afterwards.

1. It was lust at first sight. The overcoat, it does nothing.
2. "This is going to get complicated, because my mother is a monster." "This is going to get complicated because mine taught me everything I know."
3.He's gentle, after a fashion. Sally's grateful for that, at least.
4. The feedback loop gets bad, as they feed on each other. Very bad.
5. When it's over, they're inseperable. One can never feed or be injured again without its affecting the other's energy levels.

1. Andrew was her best friend, her people's best hope, emblematic of everything she wanted to preserve in the world, but she knew they could never take it anywhere else. Soldiers and angels didn't belong together that way.
2. Donovan Burke was no angel. They met while she was frying the mind of some bigoted would-be assaulter.
3. Giovanna becomes quickly certain that Donovan's a latent mutant, but that doesn't need discussing. The important thing is his service to The Cause, in his way, and she wants in.
4. It's quite the double life, nights for busting heads, days for negotiation.
5. Eventually, the find a few moments between busting heads. Just for breaks for their blood pressure.

1. Her Serene Highness Christina Rose Summers von Elphburg, was a good, smart kid and a natural redhead. That was what mattered, in the end.
2. As a mutation, Christarose's ability to create an overpowering stench that could take out a small army was... well, it could have been worse.
3. His Serene Highness Logan Alexander Summers von Elphburg used his sound-mimicry to do a great Erroll Flynn impersonation.
4. Both kids were excellent fencers.
5. The charm of Spongebob eludes Mama forever.

1. He's Andrew's half-brother, even if it's not the most important half. That still requires particular consideration.
2. As a victim of Sinister, he has her sympathy, but she tries not to let it come out as pity.
3. She grumbles to Andrew that Xavier's can't possibly take sufficient care of his brother and wishes he'd go to Genosha.
4. Nevertheless, when he and Andrew are together, she keeps a close eye on Cassidy's suit. Safety first.
5. She tells him he's not a murderer. "Trust me," she says. "I'd know."

2. Butterfly makeup has to happen. Often. Yes, he can paint fractal approximations.
3. "Wow, that many times? All of my kidnapping stories are about Mom and Uncle Jed. ... Really, most of my stories about non-cushy experiences are about Mom and Uncle Jed."
4. Somehow, Uncle Jed meets Mrs. Reyes and they become pals. Fear their concern.
5. He's firmly of the opinion that Alina could get any guy she wanted. Especially if she lets him help with her clothes.

1. Seaweed wine in a shot of root beer is better than anyone other than Mac could ever have expected it to be.
2. Mac became Ryans Artifact Hookup. Item after Item from sunken things in Atlantean territory.
3. Even though Ryan had no powers, Mac didn't consider their basketball games pointless.
4. Hand-to-hand sparring was... yeah, even less pointless.
5. They'd debate family issues over pizza.

1. The lady in her wants to suggest something like the dates Hajime and Kikuya have, but she knows neither of them could pull that kind of old-fashioned style off.
2. So she takes him to the warehouse district where Yukio used to take Auntie Ro.
3. They end up having to jump from roof to roof a bit and bust a few smuggler heads
4. But they also go to this ramshackle place with great dockside food.
5. The goodnight kiss gets rather inappropriate.

1. Despite both having been born only children, they both agreed that siblings were a fine thing, and specifically planned multiple children.
2. As the Walkers were pretty much Matrilineal, it was decided the kids should be Currys. GK made a joke about avoiding bad luck, and Ash laughed a lot longer than he expected. He didn't know why.
3. Firstborn Princess Unity is one of the most talented sorceresses-in-training Mom and Uncle Cerdian have ever seen, and she brings all the boys to the grotto.
4. Arthur Jed Curry -- Art for informal occasions -- was quite the little swordsman.
5. Zoe Mera Curry hasn't made many decisions beyond fingerpainting yet, but she is generally acknowledged as the cutest baby in Atlantean history -- and has received some unfortunate attention from unknown distant relatives.

1. Twins did run in the family, after all. Giovanna insisted on natural childbirth despite any concerns.
2. Both have their father's eyes. Except when there's too many people around her and they start this iridescent glow.
3. Erika Alexis Summers, the firstborn, was born platinum blonde, Lorna Haydee Summers was much more dark.
4. When Dad was still reading them their first dinosaur books, the ecstatically proud Grandfather Paris gave them their first toy swords.
5. Rikki and Haydee are not early bloomers in terms of their mutation, but there is already talk of getting them trained in magic, since they seem to be naturals for it. This is going to be a long family discussion.

1. When he appeared in the 21st century, Hajime was found by operatives of the Clan Yashida, sometimes considered almost modern Japan's equivalent of a less-totalitarian shogunate. And despite the lack of blood, Amiko was the undisputed daimyo.
2. Fully understanding the need for justice on behalf of a parent, Lady Amiko put a great amount of resources in helping Hajime track down the murderer of his father.
3. In return, he served her well in keeping order and righting other wrongs. Eventually, she fell for him.
4. It was either the Honorary American in her, or the result of what had once happened to her Lady-Mother. Amiko knew she was barren, and that was problematic, but she couldn't bear to see him in some random marriage to someone else. So she hired a dedicated professional.
5. Kikuya and Hajime's son was adopted by Amiko as her heir.

1. The relationship just gets more serious. And as much as Moira wants to distract them with the more sensual fun, somethings can't help but needing addressing as time goes by.
2. She reminds herself how much Mummy adjusted to for Da. In the end, she knows she can adjust too.
3. On the issue of having children who aren't wolves, she doesn't have to adjust. Lucas makes a few spiritual arrangements to make that more likely.
4. When Rahne dies, Moira goes home for some time to help Da pull himself together, to mourn with her siblings, and... to assure Danielle and Tyrylfa that they can help Da and lead the female side of the Pack hierarchy.
5. Part of Moira, it's true, feels a little broken. But she tells herself Lucas and their children are all she needs.

1. Cindy was still in shock that tall, buff, and glorious had asked her out, even once the date was already happening.
2. Cindy found the best 'hearty-style' restaurant she could, and selected bowling for afterwards.
3. "You're trying to find the most awesome wife? ....Why the heck did you ask me out?"
4.She paid for all damages to the lane from Lysi's rather... martial style of play. Scores of 300 and 111 were pretty demonstrative of their respective throwing arms.
5. Cindy took a while to recover her breath after the good-night kiss.

1. Leech quietly admitted having no real experience, but Marcia didn't mind.
2. Leech /did/ have strong arms and a ref's eye for detail.
3. Many years of speech therapy went out the window, but amusingly, Leech's not keeping a lid on his powers meant Marcia could, effortlessly.
4. Leech made breakfast the next morning.
5.A lovely time was had by both, and they agreed they needed to do this again sometime.

4. When Danielle's genetic condition comes to the forefront, they all go together.
5. Moira's gratified that he's polite to his blood father's son-in-fact.
