Sammy was part of the team sent to transport Justin Rhodes to the helicarrier for emergency surgery. The level of secrecy and the technology involved required SHIELD's assistance.
Sammy looked in on Justin every day he was aboard the helicarrier.
When he was ambulatory, if slow, she asked him out to the deck to look at the world. Drinks were provided, coffee for her, flat 7Up for him.
They sat and talked, looked at the stars, and laughed.
She offered to take him out on a real date once he recovered. A doctor's note would be required. A note from his dad was not.

Once her time with the Defenders was over, Marlow moved to Chicago to /help/. It only took her a second.
Matt found her on his doorstep with her backpack and a paper sack of Mac's burgers for Whisper.
She rearranged his living space and filled his fridge with raspberry iced tea.
Matt pretended not to notice she used magic to create a private beach space on the roof of the building or that she liked to sun in very few clothes.
It didn't help when she told people she was his cousin.
Whisper hasn't been happier with all the pampering.
When Andy asked her if she wanted to go stargazing, Sammy thought he meant a tour of Hollywood. She was surprised to find it was a midnight picnic on a bluff overlooking the ocean.
They lay on the blanket for hours looking up at the night sky.

Then it got very warm. Heated, even. It was /hot/.

On a SHIELD transport back to London from New York, Jenny sits next to an agent who looks like he'd be more comfortable with a pocket protector and a set of miniature tools.
They strike up a conversation that continues until they land. Jenny invites Jason to have lunch at Quinn's and Casey's pub with her. Between pints and burgers, they discover they both love to dance.
They go that very night to her favorite club. It's Roaring Twenties night and they enter the swing dance competition. They were eliminated after Jenny lost her hold on Jason's hand and careened into one of the judges.
They watch the sun burn off the early morning fog at an outdoor cafe over tea and pastries.
Jason leaves after an email exchange. The very first email is sent less than an hour later.

It started out as more of a dare than anything else. A Spin the Bottle game that got out of hand. A Saturday night in the Avenger's mansion + alcohol + nothing good on television = silly kids' game.
Seven minutes in the closet turned into a half a night in Sammy's room.
The alarm clock was killed during a frantic mutual strip.
Both overslept the next morning.

Zoe and GK have three daughters: Coco, Sophie and Rose. All have Mom's dark hair and eyes, and Dad's sense of color (still in development).
Dad does their hair every morning before school and checks their outfits. He encourages their growing fashion sense and doesn't cringe at all with some of their choices.
Mom is restrained but frowning during parent teacher conferences. Dad uses that to his advantage. "If we can resolve this now and not bother their mother while she's working..."
Uncle Jed is very happy they don't live in a basement.

Matthew Anthony Stark-Murdock answers to Tony for Grandma Tash and Matt for Grandma Elektra. Mom calls him Sweetheart or Honey.
He has three closets, one for Grandma Tash clothes, one for Grandma Elektra clothes, and one for the clothes he wears.
He has Grandpa Tony on speed dial for advice on girls.
He inherited Dad's exceptional reflexes. He's not so hot on coding, but he likes to build things.
He's hoping his next birthday will include his very own set of armor.

It was bad enough that a Logan sullied a fair Summers, but the resulting pregnancy had people in shock. Rose wouldn't stop laughing.
Scotty and Julie were the only things standing in the way of their daddy getting fried by their Grandpa Scott.
They are doted on by everyone in their family, and showing signs of preferring the growl of motorcycles to the steady hum of a family sedan.
Julie insists on being called Princess Julie. She wears a tiara from Aunt Anya. Scotty growls at people.
Grandpa Scott is close to an aneurysm. Grandpa Logan thinks he needs a beer.
Misha receives an invitation to use a box at the Air Canada Centre for a Mapleleaf game in Toronto. For some weird reason, half Canadian seems to count when it's time to rev up the media.
He thinks it would be a nice gesture to invite the young Alpha Fighter he met at Mikhail's wedding to join him. Strengthen team bonds as well, since you never know when you'll need to team up.
Mason reminds him a lot of David. He extends an invitation for Mason to visit Xavier's and meet the crowd.
Darlene informs Mason that he talks too much. Misha lets him know that means she'll take his phone calls.

They trade firearms for fun.
The yearly retreat is all about the sun, drinks, and cabana boys.

Liliya Mikhailovna Romanova, aka Lily Worthington-Romanova, nearly got her father dropped from very high up (those Logan genes have a bad rap!)
She has her mother's sharp business mind and her father's proxy to represent him at Stark Inc shareholder meetings. Meetings haven't been the same since.
Lily likes redheads, but not to the point of losing her good sense. She also inherited her mother's wings, but with a grandma Betsy twist - the wings are psionic in nature. Lily can make them appear and disappear at will.
Lily swore she would marry Uncle Joe when she grew up.
Dad has a deal with Uncle Gabriel to drop any of her boyfriends that he doesn't like from very high up. |
