CHARACTER INFORMATION Name: Nikolai Emmanuel Nikitin, usually called Manney, Nik, Niko, just don't call him NikNik or NickKnack Residence/Hometown: NYC, NY Age/Birthday: 19, 1/15/1992 Gender/Sexuality: Male/Heterosexual PB: Ole Sorenson Any notable differences from the pb?Manney, like the rest of his family is on the tall side standing at 6'1 just above both of his parents. He has an athletic build from years of playing quodpot with his brother and his mother, he looks a bit like a bruiser except for his face. He has a soft face and wears his hair long, it is usually a dark brown taking on a lighter shade with days spent in the sun. His style is heavily influence by his father but don't be fooled... he's a total momma's boy. He wears a lot of darker colors favoring greens and dark greys. He tends to grab a t shirt off the ground and give it a sniff, if it smells reasonable he'll wear it for the day, if not he'll find another shirt tossed on the ground somewhere. As for jewelry he wears a necklace that his mother gave him all the time and he has stretched ear gauges. He has light scars on his legs and arms from typical childhood falls and from playing quodpot, nothing that stands out terribly though. For his sixteenth birthday as is Nikitin tradition, Alexei gave Manney a tattoo on his left shoulder and upper left arm of the Loch Ness monster. What? Kid's got a sense of humor. Secrets: *He smokes cloves, don't tell his mom! Also... he gets them from his dad. *He watches Buffy the Vampire Slayer, he has the entire series on DVD and keeps it hidden. *He suffers from hemophobia, the irrational fear of blood. *He has trouble sleeping at night, he suffers minor insomnia. Strengths: Charm, trustworthy, healing magic, transfiguration, hard working, loyal, languages, art, mediating between people, sympathizing, planning, accepting Weaknesses:Holds a grudge, cigarettes, the sight of blood has very negative effects, he's sensitive, he's got a little bit of that Nikitin temper but it takes a while to pull it out of him Detailed personality: Manney is an incredibly sweet kid. He is kind, nurturing, gentle, and friendly. It is easy for him to make other people feel welcome and at ease. He is not terribly loud but he is well known and well liked in school because of his sweet demeanour. He is very charming and subtle but he does not use these traits to manipulate. Manney is very protective of the people in his life, especially his mom, he is not afraid to throw down and fight someone for talking bad about his loved ones and hurting them. He is an ace student and disciplined athlete. He is a hard worker and exerts maximum effort every day to be the best. He is a very opinionated boy and will always speak his mind but he is never brash or rude about it. Manney has excellent manners and is always level headed. He is artistic and creative, finding the beauty in everyday things. He does have a tendency to hold a grudge somewhat, mostly for repeat offenders. He's all about second chances but it's pushing it when it comes to people who continually screw him over. He is a good kid with a big heart. He has a fantastic sense of humor. Manney is a chill, laid back kid who is very accepting of others differences. Personal History: The Nikitin history has not always been a smooth one, while the kids were younger it was pretty rocky with their parents getting into scuffles every once and again ultimately leading to their father getting kicked out of the house or him leaving for a few days. When the kids were younger Alexei was arrested for illegal trade and sent to wizard jail for three years. Manney hated when his dad was gone, over time it made him very protective of his mom and somewhat resentful of his father, though he did miss him while he was gone. When Alexei was in jail, Jacinta comforted the kids and herself by taking them ice skating, having a movie night, or going to lay out in the front yard and count the stars. For Manney these have become constant sources of comfort. Manney and Xavier started attending Dresden in the same year and were both sorted into Putnam, just like their mom. Manney blossomed at school though he hated being so far away from home. He and his brother tried out for the quodpot team in their freshman year and made the team as wide receivers, almost unheard of in the sport as most freshman were reserves, the next year Manney became quarterback and Xavier became center, in their junior year they returned as co-captains of the team. Because of their athletic prowess the boys are well known around school though often mistake for biological twins rather than irish twins, they honestly don't mind. Manney has always been an excellent student, struggling with only a few courses and still able to devote his time to art and photography. Like his father, he finds muggle photography to more interesting than wizarding photography. The Nikitins have taken many summer vacations in Mexico and Russia, visiting respective family members. Manney always loved these trips as it gave him time really learn the languages he was taught by his parents as a kid. Manney had every intention of staying on and continuing to study at the University level and help assist the Putnam quodpot team.
