NAME: Julia Alana Campbell. AGE/BIRTHDAY: 17; January 21, 1994 GRADE: 11th Grade (Junior) CLASS: Upper Middle Class. They have more than enough to get by and Jules has pretty much everything she needs. She's not RICH, but she doesn't have to go without much, either.
FAMILY: She lives with her dad (potential step-brats, too?), but she's still closer to her mom. They talk on the phone and Skype at least once a week. SEXUALITY: Heterosexual. ACTIVITIES: Choir, Art Club
APPEARANCE: Cute and petite, Julia stands at around 5'2, though she tends to wear heels that bring her closer to 5'3 or so. She has a small figure and you'd never guess that she eats as much as she does. Luckily for her, she just has a great metabolism that lets her pig out on sweets and fast food without having to worry about gaining a ton of weight.
Her long brown hair hangs in loose waves past her shoulders and her eyes are a greenish brown that sparkle when she's happy or excited. She has a lot of childlike mannerisms and she almost always wears a smile on her face.
Her style of dress is trendy and stylish. She's always up on the latest fashions and you won't catch her wearing last year's outfit, though she can sometimes be found lounging around in a pair of sweats or similar lounge wear when she's at home alone. PLAYED BY: Molly Steele
LIKES: Music, sweets, art.
DISLIKES: Math, turnips, sitting still.
STRENGTHS: Musically talented, good listener, kind-hearted.
WEAKNESSES: Easily distracted, head in the clouds, naive.
DETAILED PERSONALITY: Julia has a distinct air of innocence and sweetness to her. She's a good friend, a good listener and there's really not a selfish bone in her body. She's a romantic at heart, fully expecting that she will someday settle down and have a husband and a family and everything that goes along with it.
In the meantime, she's a few relationships, none of which have worked out in the long run. She's never been in love, but she still keeps that naive hope that it will happen for her someday. She's practical about it, too, though, realizing that you do have to kiss a few toads to find your prince, and she doesn't let the fact that she hasn't found the one yet get in the way of continuing to pursue romance when she has the chance.
Julia has an artistic soul. She's very creative and can often be found sketching or humming a new tune to herself. They're activities that relax her, cheer her up when she's feeling down, things she likes to do just for fun.
She's never been extremely outgoing, but she isn't shy either. She has her fair share of friends, both close and not, and there's absolutely nothing she wouldn't do for someone she cares about. She'll listen to you babble for hours on end, never once giving an impression that you're boring her and most of the time, she's genuinely interested in what you have to say. She has a tendency to have her head in the clouds a lot, especially when a tune gets stuck in her head, but the rest of the time she's a friendly and sweet girl.
There's a childlike innocence to her. She loves cartoons and other things like that and she never quite lost that sense of wonder children have about things. Some of her favorite things in the world is standing outside in the first snow of the season, trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue or dancing and singing in the rain. It's hard to keep your inner child hidden around this girl. She just has a way of bringing out the playful side in people.
HISTORY: Born to Jared and Alana Campbell just over 17 years ago, Julia had a relatively angst free childhood until her parents got divorced when she was twelve. She ended up being shuffled back and forth between the two, finally going to live with her mom in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Julia loved living in the south, but two years later, her mother met someone new and got remarried. Her new husband whisked her away to Europe to live and, though Julia joined them for awhile, in the end she moved back to "home" to live with her father, just in time to start her sophomore year of high school in Chicago.
Julia was an average student, even though she's really very smart and relatively well-read. She has trouble focusing on subjects that don't interest her and her grades tended to suffer because of this, especially in science and math classes.
She's always excelled in classes that called for a little more creativity, though, doing well in art and music classes. Julia seemed to pick up the guitar and piano like they were nothing and she'd always had a naturally beautiful voice. Music had always been a hobby to her, until the music teacher at her new convinced her that she has a talent and that she should definitely use it. She's become a lot more focused since that moment last year, more determined than ever to jot down the tunes that frequently get stuck in her head.
One of the other awesome things that happened when Jules moved back to Chicago was that she had the chance to rekindle friendships with those she left behind. She liked living in Atlanta, but she is definitely glad to be back in Chicago with her best friends.
With her junior year winding down, Jules is under a little bit of pressure to do well on her SATs and pick out a good college. She's not so sure college is what she wants, though. After all, she wants to work on her music and there's a good chance getting the kind of practical degree her parents want her to get might get in the way of that.
