ACADEMICS Students attend 6 core classes with others in their year and may take up to 3 elective classes, which will be shared with students of every year - excepting those classes that are only available to certain grade levels. In addition to these courses, students in the Arranged Marriage Program will be required to attend classes in the evenings that are geared towards preparing them for married life.
* denotes that an audition is required to determine which class you will enter ** essentially a magical physical education class, may be repeated multiple times *** students not in the AMP may elect to take Ballroom Dance if they wish |
LIVING ARRANGEMENTS Students are assigned a room as incoming Freshman that they will share with one other person of the same gender. There are two students to a room with two rooms sharing a bathroom (ie each bathroom is shared by four students). Those who are in the Arranged Marriage Program (this should be the majority of students) will move into a new suite with the person they are betrothed to at the beginning of their junior (11th Grade) year, while those upperclassmen who are not in the AMP will remain in the room they have occupied since their Freshman year - those losing roommates to the AMP will keep their old room to themselves. There are four rooms on each floor with a common area for socializing in the middle of each floor. Boys and girls are housed on separate floors prior to moving into the AMP housing during their junior and senior years. All rooms housing female students are warded against sexual activity of any kind. If the occupants of a female student's room progress past simple kissing, those involved, aside from the rightful occupant of the room, are magically expelled from the room. Example images of the housing layouts can be found here. Current and former roommate assignments can be found here. Meals are shared in one common hall, located on the first floor of the castle near the entrance hall. Each AMP apartment also has a kitchen and a small dining area and those in the program may elect to take their meals in their apartments rather than in the main hall. |

QUODPOT In the 18th century, Abraham Peasegood brought a Quaffle with him from Europe and intended to start a Quidditch team. According to legend, Peasegood's Quaffle accidentally came into contact with the tip of a wand in his trunk. Thus, when he took it out and began to throw it around, it exploded. Peasegood recreated this effect on series of leather balls and invented a new sport: Quodpot. Rules
